no doubt ur a good player, but some of these spots seem very high variance and it seems as tho ur only posting the good side of it...i mean who would ever post and say "look guys i called w q hi for $2500 and i was wrong!!"

Which is why I said calling turn was a mistake, and I should have shoved.

Variance has nothing to do with the EV of a play.

If I'm randomly making herocalls all over the place just hoping I'm good in 5% of them just so I can post brags, then why am I not a busto microstakes player? Clearly that would result in something like a -50bb/100 winrate.

I think it was worth pointing out, though, that although variance has nothing to do with the EV of a play, EV has a lot to do with the variance of a play.

Very very nice work grindcore!

Im (almost finished) studying classical guitar and started to play Poker a few months ago. The other way around than you, hehe.

Do you play classical or jazz/rock/pop?

Cheers and keep it up

Classical, though I'm about to take some lessons on electric guitar for a pop/rock band. I also took some blues improvisation lessons at some point though that was very brief.

Yeah my 2nd series started a week ago. The first one was extremely popular. I'm keeping SNs I actively play on private since I'm making videos as I don't want unknown regs to get an edge on me (or decrease mine on them).

grindcore, when did you start playing guitar? What are your ambitions/goals with playing guitar?

Age 14 I think... My #1 long term goal is to finish music school, probably in classical guitar, but maybe electric or even both. I'll keep playing poker full time until I can buy a house probably, after which I'll switch poker to secondary priority and guitar to first.

Nicee, what type of music do you want to be playing?

I actually found this thread by accident but it's quite funny to see how similar your story is. I also moved up from micros (2/4c) to 5/10nl within a year.

My goal was to make a lot of money from poker and then try to make a living from music since thats my true passion. I play guitar myself for 6years now (self taught). Ohh...and im from holland too lol.

GL with poker and your guitar.

I play guitar too. I've always thought that my creativity and unique way of thinking along with a little courage helps me post flop to have an edge on my opponents. Do you think being a musician has helped you in some way in your poker game? The brain of a musician is very different in physical and overall structure of a non-musicians brain. As a result musicians think and learn differently.
BTW your red line is scary, I look at that and get frightened. Even tho I don't play the same stakes it still scares me for some reason.

I'm actually not that creative with music my creativity in poker comes from logic reasoning/problem solving.
