Sometimes I tie a little string round a £10 chip and wait till I win a big pot, then pull the old 'tip n grip'...gets them every time!

Going all in with AKh, get one caller, another, and another and all of a sudden you have the "lol pot odds" fest and a 6-way all in, facing AQ, 77, T9s, J6s, K8o and all kinds of garbage.

Spoiler:
Flop comes Axx-hhh

A variation of this is worst feeling though, when 3 unknown players are going wild pre-flop, you're last to act and fold AK only to see they all holding trash hands.

When you cash-out a few buy-ins to buy something expensive and instantly make that money back at the tables in a few minutes.

Hard to not call it a day and chill after that imo.

Not really. If you're gonna fold AK you deserve it. You're probably not a favorite to win the hand but the equity is definitely +EV against range.

In a recent online tourney I was down to 135 chips (blinds 150/300 + ante). Won the first showdown, and another. Now have 3500 (average was still 6K+).

Shove from EP with AKo. The next guy calls (ATs). The big stack monkey in the BTN who can't let go of a hand also calls (T9s) and the BB, an even bigger monkey, comes in with AQo.

The flop comes something similar to my story. AXXs (all of my K suit). The pot was for pretty close to the chip lead. I threw up in my mouth when the river landed that offsuit Queen.

Winning after being a short stack for like 5 hours or from being down to like 1 bb at some point is way better IMO. But winning a decent field MTT is always awesome.

Bluffing flop/turn and getting there on the river. Always such a great feeling to see your gin card peel out

3betting the same person all night and then getting aces vs. his UTG open

Stacking someone playing out of the rack / on their last hand

+1 for all of the above. The bold part...

So two nights ago this disguisting OMS who's been playing limpy limpy all night and folding flops sees a flop of T-8-7 and min raises the UTG raiser. OMS obv had J9o and the raiser had AA. Before the pot is even shipped to him the racks are out.

He says "last round it's getting late". I'm like you can leave right now if you want. He says he was being polite. We are 5 handed and the game is about to break. I look at my neighbor, he looks at me, we both have tremendous amount of resent towards the vile OMS. We're both thinking the same thing. "Please God for the sake of all that's defined by Karma, let the OMS get stacked before it's his button.

It didn't happen. It wasn't going to happen unless OMS gets Aces or flops the nuts and goes into a min-raising war with myself or my neighbor. He was sitting there for 2 hours bleeding chips. Leaves after cracking aces.

But yea, I was thinking if he got stacked there, the moment would definately be amongst top 3 most satisfying moments as a spectator.

When you snap off a shove on the river with no pair and they say "I missed."

Not sure about the no pair part. They could have 4th pair and a draw and think they're no good because you snapped.

On a related note, picking up a trump tell after showing your cards that your opponent does not want you to call and making that call with almost 100% certainty. It's a very subtle tell. Some people just can't STFU and they're very bad at hiding subtle primal human functions.

Best part is when they snap muck and u show ur hand, and he realise that he had u beat and reach for his cards again, then the dealer is like "ur hand is dead" and he is like NOOOOOO, and u r like Yeahhhhhh

There is nothing like getting un-intentionally nit-rolled and then returning the favor, only this time you are SLOWROLLING him. Something like mid-set or KK PF AI. You can always respond to the rant with "I was worried you have top set" or "I was afraid of aces".

My fave:

While live; acting all dumb (so easy lol, why is that? btw I can fit my whole hand in my mouth) & acting like you're thinking, while holding the cashews and having some aggro fish stare you down on the flop as he donks into you OOP like "what're you gonna do about it?" Only to flat, and have him shove on the turn.

Yes acting all dumb is gold. Here's one:

You spend all week at your day job kissing ass and acting all professional and pretending to care and love your faceless company or inhuman boss.

Then you drive away and meditate away all the stress.

Once arrived at the poker venue, you start acting REALLY dumb. And I mean dumb to the entent of: asking stupid questions, holding your cards improperly, squinting at the board left to right as if you were trying to spell something, "accidently" spilling your beer, sucking your thumb, bitting your nails, NEVER using poker jargon, like EVER.

"I put him on..." = "I thought he had"
"the river" = "the last card"
"pot odds" = "I took a risk"

But your game play is A-game. And when someone tries a super standard play on you that doesn't work and you suddenly make that hero call you can just say something like "you think I was born yesterday? that I don't know how to play".

I act dumb in tournaments especially mixed game tournaments when there are heros around. It's always fun to bloat their egos then crush them.
