I didn't read much after the first page... but I just want to say do not listen to those idiots. Seriously, they are all jealous because that is what they want to do. Pisses me off that people are so jealous that they try to put others accomplishments down

Well there are at least three known & successful pros in the thread offering good advice to OP, and 1 or 2 others I'm pretty sure are regs. I really don't think their posts are motivated by jealousy.

this is like a 2nl player who magically won a buyin at 100NL making a thread saying they could play for a living if they played 100k hands a month

That is the real question here. I'd guess that the answer is probably no. OP congrats on your winnings, but I wouldn't quit your day job if I were you.

basically this.

op is probably american so to play professionally he will need to consider buying health insurance, paying self employment tax, growing his bankroll, and having greater savings due to potential cashout problems in the US - all in addition to standard living expenses.

OP,

You definitely cannot be a pro donkament player lol. With your roll, on the other hand, you could easily be a pro small stakes grinder. You can afford to get some solid coaching ($100/hr), and then grind NL100 and NL200, playing a nit TAG style. You can certainly make 50K a year that way.

The coaching is mandatory imo. You're obviously a little inexperienced.

Just an idea.

Learn to play cash games and then think about quitting your job

OP your stubbornness is childish and unbecoming of a pro who's willing to learn everyday.

this thread reminds me of when my brother won a $22 tournament on party poker a few years ago when we were both still newbs. We hadnt even herd the term "bankroll management" or "varience"
he only won about $2500 but it was still epic at the time and i was extrememly jelous. ($2500 is a lot of money for an 19 year old who doesnt pay rent or buy shopping)

Needless to say he drank some of it away, lost some of it on $55 sngs and squandered the rest. He thought he was the **** and his next big win was right round the corner.

Fast forward few years and we realise how lucky hed been!

OP not saying your as clueless as we were. Impressive win no matter what the hatters say.
dont think your ready to go pro tho.

Are you being serious or are you making an insult like the rest of these peeps? It's funny that I have to ask this question, such a nice community.

Sad thing is... your profit is only 14k and you just won 11k from the 11+ MTT. If you didn't win that MTT you would be up only 3k.

actually you're wrong. my profit is 27k and before the 11k it was 16k. i still had an ROI if 33% over 3k games.

Are you serious? You act like 50k/yr is not a livable wage. I'm not sure where you live, but I don't think there's a single state in the USA where the median salary is >50k/yr.

In fact, if you don't have kids, you can live off 25k/yr pretty easily in most places in america.

I was 100% serious and it irritates me that you had to ask this question. I guess I shouldn't expect a 13 year old to be receptive of good advice.

There are a lot of microdonkey math dorks on this forum who know enough to scrape out a profit at the low/mid stakes; but they do not have the roll for it. You do.

Idiot.
