well, let me explain. Taylor Caby has always been one of my favorite poker pros. His and townsend's vids on CR are my favorite vids online, and when I asked him for advice.. I was being serious. This guy is like one of my poker heros. When he actually gave me a genuine answer to my question. The first thing that popped into my head was to play him heads up for my roll. I always try to trust my instincts and I knew that this was what had to be done.
The lesson I learned from it, is that if I want to move forward in life, I'm gonna need to take some risks, some risks that may have some consequences in the short term, but in the long term, will make me stronger and more fearless. It is really hard for me to put it into words. But after this experience, I felt a lot more alive and I still do. I just feel like a new person. I played heads up against my favorite online high stakes pro and it was fun. It was truly fun. I learned that poker is actually fun. I wasn't having fun playing poker until now. Sure I got lucky when he decided to send me back most of my roll, but even if he didn't, It was still a great experience either way and I don't regret it. Although, don't expect me to be doing something like this again anytime soon.
