Context not needed but here it is anyway...
Recently took a shot at 500nl after winning 7bb/100 for the past year over solid sample. Got smacked pretty hard for about 7k in like a one week span with some 200nl mixed in. Went back down to only 200nl. Getting smacked was through a combination of bad play and variance. I'm probably one of the worst regs in the 500nl pool but I bum hunt pretty hard.
Anyway, here's a hand I misplayed (calling pre is dumb, overbet river is probably dumb too...although it probably benefited me in this specific situation to lose the minimum).
OTTH..only have 5-10 hands on the guy at the time, appears to be a reg but not certain.

In theory, I think with the way I played it, I have to call. I'm at the absolute top of my range. I just don't see people bluffing off their stack in spots like this for unbuilt pots (even though they totally can because they have all the nuts and I never have the nuts).
He ended up having A6cc which is the only combo of A6 he should have in theory. Also, I did not realize it at the time but I believe A6 makes the most sense with the way he played it.
This is prob one of the better folds (results wise...prob not theory-wise) that I have made recently so I felt like posting it. Definitely a gross spot though.
Cheers everyone.
