CO Hero [6][4]o open raise
btn Villain(expert player)- call
SB - call
BB - call

Flop [2][2][J]r

Hero bet, Villain 2-bet, sb/bb fold , Hero call.

Turn [2][2][J][5] 2hearts.

Hero donk, Villain 2-bet, Hero 3-bet, Villain 4-bet(capped), Hero call.

River [2][2][J][5][Q] 3 hearts.

Hero donk, Villain 2-bet, Hero fold.

Villain showing [9][7]o...

He said he has value with 9high

He(Villain) did well because he won.
But we do not have a lot of bluffs.
How can he play like this?
What should I have done?

What should I have done?

Fold pre flop.
As played, fold to the flop raise.
As played, don’t donk the turn (x/r is more effective), but fold to the raise.
As played, don’t donk the river.

Your bluffs don’t make sense. What are you repping?

He’s not an expert. It’s not an expert play to cold call a CO open from the BTN with 97o.

"What are you repping?" is the key question here.

What other hands would you have played the exact same way (except that you'd call the river raise)?

You aren't repping JJ. The closest thing to a real hand you can possibly have is 55. And 55 wouldn't 4 bet turn to donk river.

I'm okay with the assumption he is; that is, I would take him at his word if he said he played JJ this way.

Basically, he has 3 combos of JJ and 16 combos of 64o. So 3/19 of the time, Villain spews and gets destroyed by JJ, 16/19 of the time Villain spews and destroys 64o.

NO words can describe how much button clicking is going on in this hand. You are a giant pussy OP. Only a fool would check raise bluff that much and then fold. My motto keep bluffing until you can bluff no more.
