Plan was to float flop and turn and bluff river if board got scary. Perfect river to take a stab imo. Was shocked to see a call on river. Bluff turned into ultra-thin value bet! Nothin special, but i lol'd when i saw villain's hand.

lolwut? i raise the flop and turn for value imo, no strat here i know but why do you plan to bluff when you got AKxx on this board, ur in position and u can play this hand perfectly. how can u play that high and still play passive? was he able to 3bet light if u raised flop?

pot control > shipping flop w/ 1 pair & no redraws. raising this flop is spewy imo vs this villain.

I have high PFR % and C-Bet % on button HU (and villain knows this), if i raise flop he's willing to ship light w any 2 pr or 1 pr/wrap. Also, if he's willing to call the river bet on that board, he's going to try and ship the flop if i raise (if he likes his mid set that much w 3 str8s and a flush out by river, he must LOVE the flop). Pot control ftw.

The point is, never in this hand did i think i was ahead. My line was passive and not optimal (obv seeing his hand now), but i wanted to rep a draw and i stuck to the plan of floating. In hindsight i have to NOT put him on str8 draw to make floating profitable, which was a mistake.

Dunno how he can call river tbh, my flop/turn call reek of draw and everything hits.
