Biggest dealer blunder ever? Biggest dealer blunder ever?

Playing blackjack, alone, 1 hand, $75 a pop. The dealer looks like a newbie schoolkid who hasn't slept in 24 hours or something. Fumbling cards, fumbling chips, etc.

Error #1: We are playing so fast that after scooping up my bet, he immediately starts dealing the next hand before I had even placed a wager!

The hand: 14 vs dealer 5 and he goes oh shoot now what. Calls floor. Floor gives me the option to void the hand or place a wager. Now imagine if this hand was a BJ. ALL IN for table max yo! I spent the next 3 days wet-dreaming about what it would be like if I had a BJ that hand.

Error #2: Dealer Ace "insurance open", immediately fumbles the second card, which was a 10. Insurance taken.

The best ones are when they forget to ask you for your action on an obvious 19 or 20 and go to the next player. If it's an ace or something you could always double down

One time at a 1/3 game a dealer was dealing me a card and it flipped over. He had to give me a new card.

One time a dealer gave roofies instead of ecstasy.

Then they made a movie about it.

pro tip : with 14 v 5 decline to place a wager. No dealer upcard has a 50% or higher bust rate, and hitting the hand would only make matters worse.

Had a dealer pay me with a $500 chip instead of a $5 (as part of a rainbow bet, they are similar colours). So that was pretty sweet and probably the most catastrophic error imaginable from the casino's perspective. I declined to correct her on her mistake, as I didn't want to make her feel bad.

Saw a dealer in plo misdeal the turn causing the natural river become the turn and new shuffled river pair the board... the turn gave 2 people the nuts who each had 2k behind... they both go all in and 3rd player tank calls w a set and now the board pairs instead of the clean run out. 6k pot mistake costing 2 players from winning.

But I wouldn’t even put this in the top 1m worse dealer mistakes

I see pushes paid more often than I can count, or "pushing" 18 v 19 etc. Little things that only get corrected when the result ends in the house's favor.

LOL OP if you think "decide if you want to bet" would apply if you had blackjack. Maybe they would let you repeat your regular wager since you're obviously a loser they'll keep around until broke soon enough. Maybe comp you a drink. And if you're auto-skipped without signalling when you might have been dumb enough not to stand on 20 you don't get to double down and take the ace the next person has. you get a new card.

I have the general thought that sure you're several years short of being able to legally enter a casino anywhere, perhaps eligible to register on facebook.

I have had my losing bet in blackjack left behind (as if we pushed) more times than I can count. In fact any session of BJ played longer than about 30 minutes I have encountered this. In some cases, especially with some weird runouts with a bunch of low cards where I finally made a hand, I can understand being one off on your math, but I mean there have been times where I clearly lost (19 against the dealers 20 for example) and yet the bet stayed (and of course, the bet played!)

It has happened often enough that I wonder if it is like some unwritten rule in the area to let the fish keep one every now and then. It seems unlikely, but I've probably seen this happen a hundred times over the last 10 years. (and I only go to the casinos a couple of times a year.)

Don't blame your drinking problem on poker.

I have 3 hands on 3rd base. Only playing $25 a pop while some of the other players are playing heavy.

The hands:

20, 20 and BJ vs dealer's 2.

Dealer proceeds to pay my BJ and opens 12. Draws: 2, 2 and 5 for 21 and everyone is devastated.

I'm like hold on just a second! What about me? You didn't ask me what I want to do on my 20's. Dealer and floor are like are you serious no way?!? I'm like rules are rules I've split 20's before and I was looking "over there" while you drew cards all soooooo quick.

They end up reversing the cards.

Now since the dealer has a stiff, the book says to put as much money as possible on the table. In my case I would need to split and double on my second hand (with guarantee no bust).

But I wasn't greedy.

The runout was 9 so I was gonna content myself with a 19.

First split takes all the dealer's cards for 19. Second split draws a 5.

Dealer: BOOM a monkey. Everybody wins and I'm the hero of the day

I just tried adding that to my own list, and it imploded because of the paradox. That’s why I can’t post a screenshot.

If i was the floor I'd tell u to go suck an egg, you could have spoken up when the dealer had 12 or 14 or 16.
