Assuming speedlimits is guilty, isin't this all just gonna blow over in a few weeks? Sure his 2p2 peers lose respect for him, and people won't trade money with him, but isin't that pretty much the end of it? He still made out with 3k. So he makes up another 2p2 account, and puts up with people berating him at the tables for a few weeks. Am I missing something here, or doesn't he win?

Pokerbots screen shot, story and IM time stamps match up perfectly. While you stay silent, change information and hide.

Prove yourself wrong sir or the Mrozowski name will be tarnished on the interwebz forever.

well said, thought i would quote for search engines, gl PBv7

You're missing alot. Realistically, there is never gonna be enough information about him on the internet to get rid of the search results when you google his name. Anytime any family member or future employer or girlfriend etc googles his name (for fun or professional purposes) they're gonna see that and be like WTF. In real life scammers aren't highly regarded.

He also cares about his online rep a fair amount im assuming. Hes made a few pooh-bah posts and has coached and is generally quite involved with the poker community. If he is guilty people he looks up to or wants to view as friends in the community won't have anything to do with him.

This will probably get resolved, I'd bet brett is going to send the $$ at some point eventually however..

He had better post a good explanation of what is going on. He already posted in this thread that he is not guilty w/o any explanation, hopefully his next post will be better.

i can only imagine his friends, family, or potential employers googleing his name.
Make up an excuse Brett !!!!! Do something ! tell everyone u fuked things up and u'll give his money back to pokerbot in x days or weeks.... or really this story can haunt you some time as said before.

See, I disagree. He has no incentive to give the money back now. The punishment for the crime is people thinking that he is untrustworthy and a thief, so if people already believe so, why would he return the money? It's like going to prison for robbing a bank, and returning the money once you get released. Imho.

So basically we've established that:

- The students he "coaches" are made up....FAKE!

- He made up accounts on 2+2 of FAKE people to try and defend his name.

- He is so dumb to think 2+2 can't see that the posts came from the same computer.

This guy is done.

Yeah, you're right in that his poker rep is ruined, but you can still be successful without being an internet legend. Good point about anyone googling his name, but I still don't think that would affect him all that much. If it were me for instance, and my little sister, or mother googled me and found this thread, i'm pretty sure I could convince them that it was a misunderstanding, and that I didn't do it, just like I'm sure he will do. Just seems to me that these things always blow over, and people forget. Remember when Zeejustin got caught multi-accounting and everyone berated him for a while? I'm sure he sleeps just fine now, just like speedlimits will soon.

He might convince family/friends but employees these days almost always check google/facebook so they will see this if it isn't removed and that will most definitely hurt him, same if he wants to go into business with anyone.

Also, what ZJ did was ethically wrong and you could argue he took EV from other players but it's not like he directly stole money.

You guys know that googling will also bring up his facebook and myspace pages as well...

Surely some more damage can be done there.

Plus you can also leave comments on people's tableratings pages now.

I just mentioned ZJ to show that people forget pretty quickly about things like this, not that they are the same thing but it's the same ball park. If Speeds stole the money, I'm sure he considered the bare minimum concequences, which would be some people thinking he's a thief. Seems to me like if he trully cared about his image he wouldn't have done it in the first place.

I'm just playing devil's advocate really. What I think is that speeds cares more about the 3k then his 2p2 rep, or he wouldn't have done it. Could he have predicted that people would call his mom or that googling his name would render this thread? Likely not, but more than likely he will keep the money, and he will hope noone googles his name. Or if push comes to shove, he'll change his name to Julio Mrozowski when applying for a job.

Every person I have ever hired in the past few years, I've googled and looked at their Facebook account. I'm sure that's pretty much standard practice now-a-days. How old is this guy?...and is he in school?
