Who is P1ngPoNgPr0 on Stars? You're a legend mate thankyou so much for your generosity. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw someone had shipped $350.

I've set my pokerstars table limits as follows:

Banned all cash tables, $6.75 limit on sng's, $3.30 limit on MTT's

I'll continue to flounder around with what few $$ I've got on Tilt playing any tournies that arise.

Still going strong on the $3 guarantee. Been sitting around 21k for an hour, been getting dealt nothing playable. Exercising my atrophied patience muscles and refusing to do anything stupid

OP, If I were in your shoes, I would never play poker until I find a job. You have uncertain future and 8k is not much money. Try to resist "I need to play" feeling. I would feel awful if I knew my opponent is playing with his last savings and has to do such things with his health once he loses. I hope your back get well soon and never forget this experience for your entire life. I wish you, strength and great patience for the rest of your hospital days.
I can't say I appreciate you sticking your nose in and objecting to the kind people that have shown me generosity. Maybe you should go donate some money to those starving children before you tell everyone else what to do?

Apart from that, thankyou for your concern. I'm sure there are many other paths I could have taken, but I took this one, so here I am. I'm not complaining or looking for sympathy, I'm just sharing my story with those that wish to hear it.

GL OP
Way ahead of ya man. I don't know my plan yet but I'm workign on it.

Had some bad luck. Dealt garbage for like 15 hands, get dealt KK67 double suited. Flop comes Q 8 10, two clubs. It's bet, raised, I call, and bam. Net drops out. Came back, I'd lost what I'd invested and couldn't even retrieve the hand in the last hand history

Oh well, might have saved some money... but damn. Best hand in ages.

Finshed in the money in the $3 but still lost money due to multiple entries... Played well though. Looking forward to the next one.

It's getting harder to keep this thread hidden from my comrades... They keep asking why I'm typing so much lol. It's too much fun.

Part of me wants to have that 5k bankroll that I've dreamed of so I can play the stakes that I would take seriously (because I've degened around at 50c/$1 and $1/$2, it's hard for me to play correctly within my BR when facing a 3bet of 19 cents. My fault for starting out with no BRM)... on the other hand I feel like it would be idiotic considering what I allowed to happen to my savings. I'm going to think about this one.

I don't really regret anything. I am where I am and there are good things. This doesn't mean that I don't recognize the stupidity of my actions or that I haven't learnt from my mistakes. There are many positives about being here andhaving this opportunity. 42 days with no alcohol is a 10 year first for me, and I love it, even if I'm only like two weeks sober. I'm riding 10km's on the exercise bike EVERY DAY THAT I CAN WHILE IN HERE at an average speed of 40kmph in around 15-16 minutes depending on the level of resistance, because I really believe that one of the biggest factors for my mental wellbeing is being fit, so I am determined to achieve that. It's hard though because I'm not allowed to do this, so I have to wait until the day staff go home and I can take advantage of the ignorance of the night staff.

I don't regret poker. I am frustrated that I have made such a mess of it, but I'm accepting how inevitable it all really was, considering that I expected to play calm and rationally when there was nothing calm or rational about my life. I love PLO and I think it's a great game, extremely frustrating at times but I love it.

My physiotherapist believes that my spine will heal, as long as I stick to my schedule (I have a whole list of stretches and things I have to do daily). After the bike while I'm cooling down I do these before showering. Unfortunately I rely on a lil luck to be able to do any of this at all, as intensive days forbid it pretty much.

Hahaha, yeah I'm a little guilty at ******ed attempts at flirting with them. Most of them are so reserved but there is one that has shown me brief glimpses of her true personality, too bad she's happily married eh? There's still time though, there's still time...
I just wanted to say..

Sometimes its not about the rush you get from playing high stakes...

sometimes its that rush..

that rush you get when you jam flop and some fish calls you with top pair no kicker, the rush of knowing that you're thinking one step ahead of the other person, even if it is for 4$.

You have to put the work it otherwise it means nothing.

This is showing that you beat the other (lower) levels because you're better, not because you're trying to live easy. They way you think now is what made you go broke, if you arn't ready to prove yourself at the lower stakes untill you move up, maybe poker isnt for you.

I mean, how hard is it to put in 100k hands of 4nl anyways? a week?

I appreciate what you're saying, and was wondering:

What do you think about me trying to implement that advice of starting low, but at MTT's instead of cash tables? While I'm in here I have plenty of time to kill, and I seem to do better in them?

Hey degens, you can do this in the states too with companies that run clinical trials here. Some people actually travel the country participating in trial after trial. Its called being a pro lab rat.

It's hard to tell, perceptions of time and space become fused and have lost track of days. Sometimes I lay alone in a room in the dark and listen to my ipod when my pulse is low and imagine I'm in some secret military base miles below the Earth. Not always easy to get time alone here. They freakout looking for you incase you've gone unconscious or something

Sick story bro, if I hadn't withdrew my money from tilt I had left, and the one BI I had left and played too 12, and then donked off, I would have sended you some
If I were laying there for 42 days I would like to play also, so would have helped you out with some dollars.
Anyway, nice story to read, enjoyed my break of studying, although it took me more time then planned.
Hope you get through the days, and don't take anymore pictures lol, I liked them, but not worth getting caught.
Hope you bank one big mtt while you're there, then withdraw and together with the 8k you're savings are up again.

Good thread, I'll definitely follow along. If I can throw out some advice, pick one game and stick to it. Don't play different types of tournaments or switch between holdem and omaha, just pick one thing. Figure out if it's STT's, MTT's, cash, holdem, or omaha that you like and play exclusively that game.

Beyond that, good luck with everything!

Thanks man, appreciate your words. And you're right, I'm very happy to be able to play, it wouldn't have been possible without people helping me out. I didn't expect it, which makes it even better.

Argh, I'm of two minds regarding putting more pics up. I mean, I know it's risky but I don't want people to lose interest. I've got 30 days left, and you guys are keeping my spirits up!

I've been running well in the MTT's so far, having lots of fun. Hopefully report a big score some time soon!

Good advice man. I've used Pokerstars responsible gaming options to enable me to only play $6.75 sngs and under and $3.30 MTT's and under, but I'll pretty much stick to MTT's. My SN is Never Was Been on Tilt and NeverWasBeen on Stars
