I just got a breakthrough.

I kept digging and investigating, and finally I found the real scammers identity and address. I talked to him, and explained that he would go to prison if he did not repay my money. He agreed. He sent me a screenshot of his passport, and a couple of other things as evidence. I also told him that if he ever tries to scam anyone again, I’ll make everything public.

He’s a degen gambler and has lost 50k-70k in Poker. He needed the money to be able to keep gambling. I told him that if he ever played poker again, I’d make it public, and advised that he should get professional help. He agreed.

I am sorry Ajaz for involving you in this, but I hope you can understand why I would think you are guilty. If mods could delete the phone-number to his mother/sister, that would be great.

I am glad that this whole thing came to an end. We have agreed to do small monthly payments, as he’s pretty broke at the moment. However, if he at any time breaks any of his promises, I will without hesitation make it publical who he is.

That's one less scammer out there.

Thank you for all your help, 2p2

Well I do have lots of evidence on him, and if he doesn't do as he should, I'll out him and he'll go to prison.

Well idk much about the laws pertaining to that, though I highly doubt he would ever do a day in jail. I do know one thing, you're never getting paid, you do need to realize that.

I always took DonkPredator's side when everyone was bashing him in the PLO forums for being an arrogant prick. After reading the 3way convo, I will never do such thing again.

Good God Op i just cannot believe you think that scammer will make monthly payments. By the way, I looked up gullable in websters dictionary and they have added a picture of you! Granted op is 18 but starting to wonder if this isn't a huge level, I mean no one can be that dim witted even if they are 18.

2 plus 2 should really form a new forum and I am being serious. Forum should be don't get scammed on 2 plus 2 and use OP as a case study. There are a lot of people like OP out there and just as many scammers waiting to prey on them.

Op has been a member of 2 plus 2 forum since December 2008 long enough after 5,000 posts to know what types of scams are run by people just by reading bbv and that you should always search a persons name to check crediblity on 2 plus 2 before conducting any type of financial transaction with them. He knew enough to post on here after getting scammed yet did nothing on his part imo to prevent being scammed in the first place.

Does OP really have a choice? If he turns the guys info into the police he'll certainly get nothing out of it. The guy is broke. At least this way OP can hope that the guy scams someone else out of a lot of money and he's able to repay him.

Hi there,

Got scammed by the same guy around 11 months ago, cba to write the exact story again but if you search my username you'll see it.

It was for a lot less money, but the same ammo. Using e-mails that you thought were legit and using multiple characters;
- in my instance he used bobo.fett@twoplustwo.com pretending to be the bobo.fett moderador here, in my arrogance I believed him
- he often also gets the 2+2 accounts of people he scams, this is how he manages most of his scams, because "his" 2+2 accounts seems very legit, i.e. the username that scammed me had a lot of posts, alot of trades and seemed allaround very legit.*

I did some digging and found the same name. He's been scamming for couple of years. Seen a couple of other scams by him and people like you, and me, posting about it.

Last time I saw it i contacted the guy because he had found a lot of personal information on him and told him my story and asked if he could help me get my money back as well. It was a longshot, but I figured I would try. Didn't work out though.

After the scam I talked to the scammer and the chat were very identical to the ones you had with him. First he denies everything then he's like "yeah so what I scammed you? though luck".
* In my chat with him he says he'll pay me everything back if I give him my 2+2 account. Thats the only way I'll see my money again. Of course I didn't do that, but I bet some / a lot of people in the past have tried that way to recieve their money again.

Never saw my money, and just keep reading threads here on 2+2 about the same guy scamming more and more people.

Makes me so sick.

That is sick ph you did search previous to your dealings with scammer and still got burned. Is scammers name still in good standing or any of his other 2 plus 2 names? Hopefully they are all banned , this scammer is obv a pro.

what about all the other people he scammed? Why do only you get to be paid back? They have just as much right. Even if hes so broke now he cant ever possible pay it all back, he should pay a percentage.

Or at least since you know who he is and what not, you could buy their debt at a %

I also highly doubt someone whos basically main job is to scam people is suddenly going to stop, go the straight and narrow and pay you back, but good luck, would be nice if I was wrong

OP has got jack sh*t. In the MSNL thread on this he says he has the scammers details, that this scammer sent him a screenshot of his passport and some other evidence. OP for some reason believes that a criminal, a professional scammer, who scammed him out of 30K will then send him proof of identification and other evidence to incriminate himself. In other words OP is being made a complete and utter fool out of all over again and he is too dumb too realise it.

you should be pitiless with him.. Get your money back by making everything public imo.
If you don't, you don't have the guarantee that he will not try to do this again.

This.

To me it's pretty obvious all these aliases are the same person who most likely is Ajaz Shankori because of how adamantly "Lars" was trying to protect him.

Did you completely ignore this post?

On a side note, I'm utterly amazed at how naive people can be. Didn't your parents teach you not to trust strangers? Just based on the posts in this thread it seems like the scammer could be making 6 figures per year scamming, not bad.
