I got scammed when I was like 16 trading a $1200 paintball gun for another guys expensive gun on pbnation. had done like 4 or 5 other trades before without a hitch and was just young and naive and sorta had the same mindset as you it seems, that everything will just work out somehow w/ no worries.

Fwiw i got scammed by this guy too, albeit only for 1k. I'm stupid yes i know. same deal with mikogo and "pro coaching" , however after 1 hour of play I pretty much realised what was going on. And yes i was playing against aforementioned account name ziigmund

Initially i was just simply asking for a RB deal and then Sk11lz replies to me with this

He hooked me up with an ipoker deal, and it was all good. I added him to msn and his name was AJ on that. We got chatting, he was overly nice, always asking me if I was happy or upset etc. We got talking about PLO and coaching, he hooked me up with petter.brittania@gmail.com on msn and told me this player was a very trustworthy coach who was winning at 25-50 for a very long time.

I was stupid enough to believe him.

I bought two hours of coaching from this Peter (at 160$ an hour? pretty cheap lol. Also quite important to note that I insisted that I watch him play and he was adamant that he just withdrew his whole roll) and we started. It was only plo100 as I wanted to learn HU at low stakes, however against one player named Ziiiiigmund (5 i's) and looking at my HEM session history against this player I dropped about 7.5 buy ins in 200 hands. The coaching was absolutely terrible also and I told AJ that i was not intending to buy anymore coaching because this apparent "pro" 25-50 coach was ****ing terrible at explaining anything and always seemed distant when I was asking questions (ie on mikogo playing against me).

After telling AJ that i thought Peter's coaching was terrible instantly Peter starts hounding me for more coaching sessions and offering me free coaching hours for no reason. AJ then stupidly tells me on msn that he didn't mention anything to Peter when he obviously did ( This is when i got extremely suspicious and basically everything you wrote about him having multiple msn accounts and being overly nice just clicked for me )

Peter then goes on and gets extremely angry at me for not wanting any more coaching ( lol? why does a 25-50 player worry about 1k?) and at this point i'm pretty much done with this guy. AJ continues to be constantly talking to me on msn about stuff, then Peter ****ing asks me for 1k on neteller that he needs ASAP but he'll pay me back in 24 hours as his withdrawal is in process. LOL.

cliff notes of my post :

I don't trust AJ at all, peter was obviously a scammer ( who also seemed to know a decent amount about poker )

basically everything you said about "killbauer" was EXACTLY the same for me.

AJ also preached that peter's coaching was good ( which it wasn't ) and referred me to this supposed pro plo coach

The more I read about this the more I think the scammer uses the same mental schemes to perform that sect gurus use to enroll people and get control over them.
Find weak/vulnerable people (and Oscar is, due to his young age and his relative ignorance of what people would do for money), build trust and admiration, destroy their ego and culpabilize them (which is what happening in the last developments) .

Im pretty sure he is an extremely intelligent individual with mad psychological/social situation assessment skills, his skills would just be better used doing other things than scamming vulnerable people for large sums of money.

On a Norwegian poker forum this scam is being discussed and ditto aka donkrpredator is one of the more active posters in the thread. Ditto writes that he does not know killbauer in real life but he talks with him on msn, where he admits to scamming several people ditto included.
From the thread no one seems to know who "killbauer the scammer" really is, but it's definitely not donkrpredator
