Horseshoe Hammond: $350 WSOPC Event #1 Day 1B (Largest non-main event tournament in history ~3,500 entrants)
Level 12: Blinds are starting to get fairly large and I don't have a big stack, Faraz Jaka is to my immediate right, Everyone else at the table is playing exteremely tight and passive.
Blinds: 200/400 & 50 ante
Hero: ~10K LAG, Won a couple big pots, and lost a couple big pots bluffing.
Villain: ~20K Faraz Jaka, well know aggressive pro. I have been 3-betting him a lot, knowing he is just trying to pick up all the dead money out there with all the nits at our table, and he's been folding to my 3bets almost everytime.
Preflop: Hero raises to 850 UTG with AK, folds, around to Villain in BB who calls.
Why would he call with A2o vs utg raise? That seems really horrid. Also I think next time you should check the turn and try to get to a cheap showdown.

Yea my plan is almost always to check the turn and hope for cheap showdown, against a good player. But the fact that I raised from UTG is the reason I decided to 3 barrell him, I thought he would give my UTG raise credit for a big pair

Well his implied odds on hitting his deuce was pretty solid.
