It's insanely hard to win 6 s&g's in a row. A lot of people have the skills obv, but there is a good amount of luck needed as well.

Depends on which jackpot promo it is. The 6 man rio ones are 20+3.5. But yeah, there is more rake and its really unlikely the site can make a loss at any point and long term they wont ever make a loss on the promo.

Its quite probably he told the truth about winning 5 in a row and then decided to cheat on the last one. He was also an idiot the way he did it.

As for collusion, i know of a few cases where people have been caught trying to cheat the network - i can remember reading 3 cases on this forum, including this one, and im pretty sure i read not long back there is just half a dozen people who have claimed the prize. Im probably off on the numbers obv, but you can be sure if anyone hits it and meets all the major rules (like having to claim within 48 hours) they will then go to the hand hists with a fine tooth comb. If you were to cheat with a group of 20-30 people you would do better in cash games imo, especially if rolled to do so.

Its extremely hard to win 6 games in a row if you are doing it honestly. For example, there is a guy who tops the sharkscope leaderboard for 9/10 max games (on stars, as it happens) for 2008. He has played nearly 20k games and has had 5 lots of 4 1st places in a row, but nothing more.

You could work it out mathematically, but im too lazy to do so. But even for someone who is an expert it just isnt worth doing the promo. Its a -EV gamble when played honestly - its like paying an extra 75% in rake, and getting something like 60% of it back but with huge amounts of variance.
