I'm in the same boat as you at the same limit. Games are harder for sure.

I know you guys probably don't believe this, but I've been playing for 5 years now and have never used PT/HUDS. I've consistenly beaten the games from NL100-1000 (don't play 1000 anymore--too hard).

Maybe I'd be better with the HUDs, but I tried it for a day or so and hated it. Besides that, I'm morally opposed to them.

NL100 games do seem tough to me lately but I think I'm just running bad.

They certainly aren't 10k-breakeven tougher
If you care, I moved down to 50NL for a couple days to get my confidence and a couple buyins back. I think that is a good strategy when you are losing.

I know OP IRL.

He's telling the truth.

12 tabling 100 NL for a ton of hours, add supernova bonuses on top of that, 10K a month isn't THAT hard.

At 10ptbb/100 you would have played 50k hands/month october to march. In the five months following you've played 2k hands/month?

I used to be a 10K a month winner at 100NL back in october to march...

NOw the games have gotten so much harder im a break even player who can make a little cash with bonuses...

Anyone else go through this?
I was a 100nl regular during this time period, and I think the games actually got easier over the period of time you describe. I play(ed) mostly on full tilt, but I would guess that the games aren't too different than the stars 100nl. I'm a little surprised you think the games got tougher. It was my sense that the games dried up pretty badly right after the UIGEA and then the fish slowly crept back into the game as time went on.

And another thing for the haters -- 10k/month is definitely possible 12-tabling for a bunch of hours with a mediocre win rate + RB/bonii in these games. And not moving up could be because he has, you know, bills to pay IRL.

amazingmetz, you were never a good player, you moved up to 200nl and moved back down. dont blame the "tuff" 100nl games for your shortcummings in poker.

Weird, I am sure I played like thousands of hands with you OP but can only find 1155. I know you didn't have PT, but you were actually losing $10,000/month before so don't worry, you're doing better!

Kidding obv. but I did play a lot of hands with this guy he was on constantly and seemed fine. I really would be curious if it is the games to blame or just variance, or you playing worse because of variance. I would guess that the simple fact you didn't have PT but were putting in that many hands and playing so many tables means you were just winning because the games were soft enough you didn't need PT/HUD, setmining or whatever worked well enough. So like, the games may not have become tough per se, they're just tough for a guy 12 tabling with no time for notes and no HUD.
