Well, you might not have insulted him directly, but you've earlier said that you think shame is a good motivator for ************, so considering the derisive tone (without being directly insulting) when talking about gobbo, it wouldn't be too far fetched to imagine that you're actually trying to be insulting.

Personally, I think you yourself think you have good intentions, but a sizable part of it is also some kind of funky psychological mechanism to distance yourself from your former fat self. But maybe not, it's kind of hard to make an accurate diagnosis based on a few posts on a message board. Just like maybe you shouldn't assert that gobbomom coddles gobbo (maybe you didn't in this thread, but you certainly have in other threads.)

Fair enough. You made it seem like weight is a passive choice. I've altered mine willingly and know that its difficult and requires choices, but so many people are eager to just explain away weight by saying people have no self-control.

Isn't it obvious that better looking people get benefits in almost any field over ugly people? God forbid an effing PR campaign that will show people on TV. If Gobbo wasn't a freak, and really young, and very weird, Howard probably woulda said "He looks too round and jolly and doesn't arouse me like PA does."

Not really a fan of Jillian's food, but it has been fun to watch bears games at. I guess I suck at the food in CU, as its my senior year and I dont know where Jupiter's, Esquire, or Radio Maria are, and only recently even started to hear the name Radio Maria. At least now I have places to try.

I tend to agree with private joker's stance. The word "freak" is poorly chosen, but even considering that I don't find what Howard said to be so terrible, and I doubt I'd give $10k to gobbo for promotional reasons, either. It is a funny gaffe that they included that, and gobbo seems to have a decent sense of humor about it. But I'd say at least a third of the respondents in this thread who complain about what a dick Howard is being here are probably bigger dicks on 2+2 on a regular basis, and they are doing so in a forum where it is intentionally rather than accidentally public.

People standing up for Gobbo in this thread are largely doing the same thing, and only feel the need to because some of the abuse he gets is amazingly harsh, particuarly considering how nice a guy he is, how active a member he is here, etc, etc. It's not like he started a thread about nailing two strippers and making $1M, and got all of this. He was just trying to post something very funny, and look what it has turned into.

Officially never making fun of gobbos weight again because dids just made it jump the shark.

Also I think people need to realize that this is just the way dids argues. I can certainly speak wrt arguing with dids and I will be the first to admit I am insanely over the top when arguing sometimes, but with dids its pretty much always "well ive made my point, if you disagree i am going to not listen and belittle you". I've seen it happen hundreds of times. Don't let it bother you, theres really nothing to be gained from it.

Also still not seeing any update on the bacon sushi. I kind of feel like gobbo is insulting us by focusing on such minor issues as being insulted about his weight when he could be talking about bacon sushi.
