Got a chunk of the bad beat jackpot on AP tonight.

Been taking shots at 100NL lately and glad I did tonight.

4 handed table. I fold 86o UTG. A raise a call and a reraise after me with 3 callers to the flop.

Flop comes 6x,7h,8h.

Reraise bets half the pot. One fold. Pot sized reraise. The original guy pushes. He turns up Jh,Th. The other guy turns up 5h,6h. Turn is 9h.

The guy that got beat got 90K. The guy that beat him got 45K. Me and the other guy got 22K.

The funny thing was after I folded I was in an interesting hand at another table and didn't notice what was going on. I saw that the jackpot hit, but didn't think anything about it. Someone at the other table told me I hit it.

Any advice on whats the best way to withdraw the $22K? I don't really need that amount of money to play 100nl. Being the low limit player that I am I usually only withdrawl about $1000 at a time so I don't worry too much if it gets lost in transit somehow.

Seriously, see a financial planner and get the hookup with some of that cash. If you're a younger guy, half of that loot would go a long ways toward funding your retirement if invested properly.

For the people upset that a low limit part time player won in. I do play a fair amount for a non pro (~40-50 hrs a month). I've also just switch to NL (was playing (5/10 limit which I know isn't huge stakes) and I started at 25NL and working my way up.

Anyway as far as the financial planner advice, I'm actually lucky enough to have a very nice job outside poker. I originally put $25 into a poker account a few years ago hoping to turn it into enough to buy a nice fishing boat. So I think I'll blow it on a boat.

What tilts me harder is when others don't pay their taxes on their winnings.. hyacahchachhcacachjgn
