So I've been playing live poker for about a month after a 3 year hiatus largely due to COVID-19. Poker is still not the same in Canada with poker rooms not open 24/7.

2/5 and 5/5

6 visits: 3 wins, 3 losses. +$2,075 or $62/h

I was up about 5k before losing 2 sessions in a row for 3.1k

This last session is stuck in my head, played 3 hours. This guy got dealt AA 3x and KK 3x in less than 3 hours of play. I've never had that in my life during a live session, nevermind three hours...

most memorable hand was 67o, 5 players in for $25. Flop comes 985cc ($125).
check, check, bet 25, (hero) raise to 80, allin ~150; fold, fold, call, (hero allin ~350), call.
I have one club. first all in shows 98s for two pair, caller shows Q9cc
Turn Ac, river brick.

I checked it out and I was 52% roughly Q9s 33%, 98s 13% and some tie odds.

I don't think there is anything I can do. I like mixing it up so I'm harder to read. I'm ok with this, but it sucks not winning it, could have changed the whole session.

I've considered myself a semi-pro for almost 5 years now, but I really want to make this a full-time profession. $150/h was much nicer, but I was wondering how realistic it was...

I've been playing live for a couple years after primarily online experience ...just know that things can feel pretty bleak for a long time - I had a break even stretch that lasted over 500 hours, but then I went on to win like 7bb/hr for 800 hours (high rake w/ jackpot and promo drop too)

Normally I troll BBV posts but I tip my hat to a fellow live player GL
