Unhappy avoid showdown?

67k of 100nl, 55k of 50nl + some micros. I m playing 22/17 and maybe 26/21 when I m in a good mood.
What am I doing wrong here? Calling down too much? Bluffing too much? I just answered my own question?
It doesnt feel like i m losing much at showdown while playing but after getting holdem manager I was like WTF orly no wai. I m usually 6 tabling in pretty much autopilot barreling the nitty regs off their marginal stuff but then there s that thin line where I start getting called and maybe bluff too much. BBV help me crush more pls.

Re: avoid showdown?

This was the last two weeks of September at 100NL before moving up to 200NL. I'm pretty sure I was the one calling you down.

Together we would be unstoppable.

Look at how fun and low variance it is being a nitty reg!

Re: avoid showdown?

hmmmmmm I dont know your general gameplan but it seems like you have polarized hand ranges so its easy to barrel you off your marginal hands or float/bluff raise you. Some examples:

1) when you c bet the flop you only continue with strong hands so when the flop is A62 your stack off range is like AK 66 22 and maybe 66 22 arent even in your preflop raising range so your range is very polarized and they can bluff you almost every hand because you wont have much and will fold. They can also float a ton of flops knowing u give up on the turn with your air.
2) when you check call the flop out of position your range is polarized to weak middle pairs or weak top pair and you often fold to 2nd barrels, so again they can easily put you on a range and bluff.

solution = have wider hand ranges, c bet and barrel more and be more agro. That way people cant just push you around coz they know your range isnt polarized and you can show up with hands/air or semibluffs.

but then you ll be like me losing at showdown lol. Its hard to find that balance between being too nitty and too laggy.

I guess you re right, I do check down too many hands or give up by the river. It just seems like once they call the turn I wont have much fold equity.

Wait wait so you come on here asking for advice, but instead you decide to tell somebody who is winning more than you with no swongs in their graph what they're doing wrong?

Re: avoid showdown?

I didnt say he was doing anything wrong. I just pointed out a few things that might improve his red line. You obviously lose some showdown value when you bluff more so its all about being in the middle.

Re: avoid showdown?

I mean most of your money at 100NL shouldn't come from bluffing off nitty regs. Table select and most of your money should come from valueowning fish and donks and tagfish.

I think I make okay plays on the flop. I recognize good spots to cbet and raise cbets etc. It's those other two streets that give me trouble and probably result in me bleeding money. I agree with both of your points but 66 and 22 are definitely in my range. I'm not that nitty.

Oh and I think 4th film was joking about 3barrel bluffing more.
