Guys wtf, I had AK vs AA all-in preflop twice in my two hour session today. I was told that can’t happen due to Blockers.

Hourly back down to 26 BBs.

UPDATE: I’M DONE PLAYING POKER FOREVER.

Holy **** guys, doing this as a *job* has been soul-crushing, like, I never thought I could hate poker, but damn, it only took 170 hours of playing 10 to 5 3 days a week for it to happen. I started to DREAD walking into that casino each morning….”God, another ****ing day of seeing whether my overpairs will hold up while surrounded by grumpy old men.”

Final stats are $8,630 in 177 hours (32 sessions), $48/hr (or 24 BBs.)

Why don't you play occasionally, like the times of day when drunks and degenerates chasing their losses are more likely to be playing?

It’s possible I will return recreationally at some point. But my dream of playing “professionally” is over because this has really made me realize that I actually hate gambling and being around scumbags all the time.

I feel the same when I'm watching the poker livestreams on TV (Hustler, LATB etc) - Juicy games but I'd hate to be there sitting next to those clowns lol.

This makes me believe the majority of your posts a lot more and respect you as a human. GLGL.

In an unfortunate development, my poker retirement only lasted two weeks and I was back at it today.

I’m unemployed and we need money. And while I’m not dumb enough to think my current win rate is sustainable, I am dumb enough to believe I am beating this game. So. Even though I hate it I’m back at it at least a couple days a week.

I did this today:
Raise in MP to 16 with Td8d after one limper (straddle on). One call. Button makes it 70. I make it 170 he calls. Flop Ad9c7h. I bet 100 he folds.

Quitting now would be perfect. You would have truly beaten the game. Meanwhile get a job.

But it will be impossible.

Other option would be to start studying really hard. But you will lose the pure confidence you have now at first and won't like it anyway, as the rush is what's pulling you through.

You do seem level headed, so when you eventually crash and burn, you'll probably just quit and get a job anyway and reacquire life.

I no longer respect OP as a human and must change my position to BLBL.

Skill game, guys, canÂ’t forget:

JcJs in BB. EP raise to 8, 2 callers, I 3-bet to 36, only one caller (a guy who called the raise on the Button). Flop Ad9d5h. I bet 24 he calls. Turn 3h. I bet 100 he calls. River Jd. I bet 100 he calls with AhKc
Assuming this isnÂ’t a giant troll...

So you 3bet and the initial raiser folds and you get called by the button - I am going to say there is a lot of Ax and Ax suited in his range, and a lot of 98s 10-9s, J10s.

So fine, there is an Ace with a flush drawÂ’on the flop and you Cbet 2/3rds pot - Reasonable since the A is in your range and you would want to protect against the flushÂ’s

Turn comes an inconsequential 3h and you bet 2/3rds again - why? What does the 2/3rds pot bet do here? Gets hands which are ahead to call, and those which are behind to fold. Ask yourself - what hands will call here that you are beating for 2/3rds pot?

Then, on the river you bink a Jack which surely gives you the nut set here - unlikely that he has a set of Aces given he just called your 3bet. In this situation - given that he likely has an Ace and that he has called you down for both the flop and turn, it is almost certain that he has an A. So why not bet booger? Why not go 1.5 pot or even jam? I think you missed value here.

Silky—Our state doesn’t allow no-limit Hold’em. I’m playing $2-$100 spread-limit. Max you can bet or raise is $100 over the previous bet.

Turn bet was designed to fold out weak aces or charge him the max for flush draws.

Oh ya, I forgot it’s the spread bet...

In that case I would think a smaller turn bet would be better here.

So yeah today was the day I lost two separate $500 pots by getting over-flushed.

Win rate down to a pathetic 24 BBs/hr.
