I’ll try to be quick to the point but I’m not an experienced player.
This happened a while ago now and I have no evidence other than the two others who were there.
Played a $20 cash game of holdem with a coworker and his roommate one evening. I was showing them the ropes on all the absolute basics of how to play.
So we get going and in the background we have Casino Royale playing, and I assume everyone knows but there’s some good holdem action in there. In the film James Bond plays a four way all in against the bad guy, and wins against a flush and full houses with a straight flush, 45678 spades
So I’m pointing these things out in the movie and explaining the odds of that happening are quite low but it’s just a cool way to wrap it up.
Movie ends, we continue playing for another hour, and eventually we get to one hand where (and this is where it starts to get a little unspecific due to the inebriation at the time; I do not remember my position or the exact hands just what I won with and played against)
I look down at 56 of spades. Flop is something like Kc4s8s
I think you can tell where this going from here but I bet and get raised and call. Turn is 7 of spades of course. I bet and get raised and everyone calls through. River is another spade, big bet and a call and I shove; snap calls from both. They turn over King high flush and Ace high flush. And I clean em both out with the James Bond hand.
I’m not really sure what the odds of that happening are but it seems relatively unlikely. I cannot for the life of me remember why I didn’t take a picture at least.
