Maxed out my parents credit cards (5k) and took out 13k from my student loan to play online to pay a gambling debt. Played 25/50 NL HU on PS over the weekend. Played good and won big (almost up 40k at one point). Then made a mistakae and another mistakae. Got really tilted and moved to 100/200. Blew two stacks and asked to flip for the rest. Lost two flips and in the hole -18k. It always ends like this for me. I am a winning player (i won 22k playing 5/10 at 10bb/100 before tilting it off).

I can't confront anybody about this. I am seriously stressed and thinking about taking some pills to end this all. I am now owe 24.5k in debt.

Gotta stay alive man , I suggest taking a break than playing live poker, short stack. Online is kind of hard because of digital credits. I say be positive, if your grades are good , one year salary will make it back, I'd it's not , quit poker for awhile, focus on school , buy a bunch of books and read . I would suggest calling the hotline man, or get yourself a counselor and be honest with them . Don't swallow pills, not cool, unless your trying to party .

There is always another way, its just going to be tough.

money will never be a reason to do this, MOney comes and goes, talk to someone you love and theyll understand. rebuilding could also be fine, just ban yourself from higher limits and grind lower, money wont be so glamorous but if youre beating 600+ you can deff pay any amount back.

come clean with your family as soon as you can. they may be mad and they may not understand but they would'nt want you to hurt yourself. your family will be very sad if you kill yourself and will only wish they could have told you that the money doesnt matter and that they love you. they will miss you infinitely more than the money. stay away from poker and gambling for now.

OP, dont take pills. 24k is a lot of money, but its not worth killing yourself over. most people your age owe as much as that or more. my sister and her fiance just graduated law school with 250k in debt. get away from computer and go outside and walk for as long as you can go. after that, ban yourself from all gambling sites. its not worth it. think about how you felt when you were up 40k. probably not even that good right? you were probably just thinking about how you could turn it into even more money. now think about how ****ty you feel now after losing it. gambling is just not worth it, there are many other ways to be happy in life besides gambling.

I've gone through spurts like this in the past where I would fukk up real bad with money and degeneracy. I've had the same mindset in thinking that the only way out of a situation is to win by gambling--casino, horses, sports, poker etc...its a lesson I'm still learning to this day.

I've wanted to kill myself before too thinking it was the only logical decision and because I was too scared to face the consequences of my actions. But sometimes you just have to say enough is enough and start back from the bottom.

Ok, you owe someone 5K for gambling. Pretty much anybody who lends money to a gambler or operates a gambling business knows this scenario comes up. Just don't lose contact with them. Have them shut you off, and ask to pay $500 a month for a year.

$5k to your parents. Which call do you think they would rather get: 1. Their kid died, or 2. Their kid admits he made a mistake and agrees to pay off credit cards within a year?
This will probably cost you about $500 a month too.

The $13k from student loan was a waste, but they aren't knocking on your door for this money for quite sometime. Deal with this later when you are in better spot...like $1k a month starting 13 months from now.

So now all you need is a job to pay $1k a month, and this goes away relatively quickly.

This is all good advice OP. Money, actually almost no scenario, is one where suicide is an answer. Tell you parents, then seek professional treatment please. Would love to see you bump this thread in a year in a much better place.

2. i beat 100k/200k and 250k/500k play money poker for 40bb/100, then sell those play money chips for real $$$, i make $.25 per million chips and i average 40-50 million chips in an hour. pretty fun and easy money.
