Actual cliffs:

Spoiler:
tl;dr

Spoiler:
Nah seriously, did read and very good! TY.

Cliffs:
Spoiler:
OP plays professionally for 3 years, played total 6 years, PLO for last few years.
OP suggests getting mental coach.
You need to be honest about how good you are and when you are tilting, what to do about tilt.
Play your best by avoiding tilt, playing more when you are playing your best, less when not, don't be results oriented, don't be emotional.
Don't let distractions hurt your play, play less tables than you 'can possibly play.'
Leave poker behind when you are not playing, find ways to make yourself feel better after bad sets that don't involve hookers and blow.
Always try to get better, think about unconventional plays to take your game to the next level.
Keep $s on different sites, exclude from games if you play higher when tilting, keep only $'s need on different sites, redeposit if you need to reload, practice conservative BRM.
Be healthy = play better.
+EV = good. Gambol = bad.
Live in the present, be happy, don't be a whiny b*tch.
OP is happy he plays poker.
OP uses his mouse to play some hands of poker on the internet.

It's available in print, not sure how widely available it is in stores though. Here's an amazon.com link to where you can buy it as either a print book or ebook.

I wrote it. If you're asking where I got the ideas for it, those were from a varitey of sources. Among them were my business teacher in the senior year of high school telling my class that he had "once stayed up in the middle of the night on the basement stairs with a gun to his head, not being able to think of a good reason to not pull the trigger," which I thought was a very powerful image. The ending was inspired by this oot thread about a guy who jumped off a bridge and survived. And the rest was inspired by various degeneracy that I've read about, heard about, seen, or experienced first-hand.

Probably the best post I've read on 2+2... you should write a book. Listening to pink floyd time at the end of reading everything pretty much sum'd it up

such a nice post. Really interesting read, and cool story too. Man the life of a sick degen is truly sickening. Im going to need to apply some of this anti tilt methods. I also like what you have to say about poker - if you are not improving your are getting worse!! too true!
