$2K a month, YAY FOR VOTING! - Poker Beats Brags and Variance

What is the lowest limit possible to win 2K a month (Semi consistantly, we all know downswings happen), Counting rakeback if you wish, without having to run super hot.

A friend of mine has decided that at 200NL, earning 10 buyins in a month shouldn't be impossible...but since the only time we play 200NL is live, we don't have much to compare it to online.

This is running about 2-4 tables, prob putting in at LEAST putting in about 6k hands a month.

u could prolly do it at 25nl with enough hands.. 50nl for sure.. 10-20$ sngs would be possible too.

oh wait.. 6k hands a month LOL that's like 1 day to some people..

making 2k a month at 50nl isn't impossible 4 tabling if you play 20k hands, that's 10ptbb/100 with rakeback

yeah, we wanted to make it a low average just because we didn't want the amount of hands some people play to affect the question.

God knows i've put in 2k hands in a day before :/

well you better be a damn good 400nl player then if u only want to play 6k hands a month lol

it's all about the amount of hands, if u think that doesn't make a difference you need a reality check

I didn't say it didn't. We just felt like ANYONE can put in 1,500 hands a week, so we went low on purpose.

this all depends how good/bad you are.

but with a question like this, i would assume the player wouldnt be that good. with that said, 6k hands a month is just not gonna be good for any of those levels. also, rakeback wont mean anything playing 6k hands.

you can make 2k a month playing DECENT (nothing fancy) poker at nl100 - i'd say 30k hands.

but with ur stats, 6k hands, it has to be nl400, if ur decent. btw live is a lot softer than online and i mean A LOT. nl 400 live is probably nl100 or even nl50 online depending on the tables

u could do this playing 6 tabels at 100nl and only 7 hours a day u coulkd have 2k easy just from rake.

I made around 2k/m when I was a (tag)fish playing 50nl, it's just a matter of logging the hours there and you should include rakeback obviously

Probably played 30k hands a month or so 4tabling.

why only 6k hands/mnth ,thats ghey ...plaenty of (good)players go through 100k breakeven/downswings ...you wont even be able to play that many hands in a yr ,,
