This thread has some kind of morbid curiousity about it. I know I shouldnt look but I just cant help myself and then I regret it

This thread is both inspiring - showing how much money can be made - and yet depressing - in the huge breakeven stretches some people have. At least it puts mine in perspective.

I'm pretty sure this thread will be the #1 reason for suicide among internet poker players in 2007.

Since my laptop crashed twice this year, I lost my records several times, which is ridic frustrating. I was prob up about $150k in donkaments this year. I recall being +28k at around 7 bb/100 at 5/10 thru May when I moved up. I couldn't handle 10/20 and 25/50 tho, and I blew about 60k in 2 weeks. Took the summer off from cash. Then, I started, pretty much from scratch, at 1/2 again in October. Decided to build up a bankroll on a new name from a 3k transfer using a 30 buyin rule, which has had some success so far:

Unfortunately, I'm like the least motivated cash player ever b/c it bores me so much, even tho I know how much more profitable it is. It seems I can never get anymore then 1-2 hrs in per day of 4-6 tabling. My short-term goals for 2008 are to start getting in at least 2k hands per week and maybe even start tinkering with some HU at smaller limits.

Seeing posts from people like Christophers is what I find the most impressive (ie. 500k years from guys who have only started playing this year).

I started playing poker in April this year, and in those 9 months and I've played ~200k hands for ~$100k. Have been lucky to do pretty well live as well, which is nice. I'm pretty happy with how I've done all things considered - hope to reach 300k by April.

Thanks, I played as Bingo0709 after that, the big upswing on the graph is a 70k month as asusu when i ran hot at 1k and some 2k, but im careful with money so moved back down during the first real downswing and been struggling at lower limits ever since. Currently at 1/2 (started the year at 2/4).
