if you had button covered we could talk about taking a different line, but with the bdfd and onyl 260 deep jsut get it in.

if you cant handle the swongs then just leave when you get too deep for comfort.

I'm comforted that other ppl run like ass. What's his sn? If he hasn't change it in a while or is kinda a staple player i'll recognize it. Vs some you are definitely scrreeeeweeddd

LOL FWIW, I played a hand identical to this one less than a week ago at the 1/2 6m deep tables on FTP. I opened 65s CO, BTN flat, the action was literally identical, he raised I 3bet and he insta shoved for 200bb. I called and he turned over ATdd which would effectively be the same as AThh in this spot.

After reconsidering the hand, I really thought that I should have just called his flop raise and played a turn. I do realize that there are a ton of bad turn cards that I have to fold on, but I just don't ever see anyone just auto-shoving over our flop 3bet here w/ top set. If I had the hand to do over again I would either 3bet and fold the flop or call the flop raise and re-evaluate on the turn.

It's a gross spot getting raised on this flop no matter what way you look at it. I actually started to think checking the flop might even be a better line since when you do bet here you almost always indicate to any thinking player that you have a hand you like (explicitly because of the terrible situation you get yourself into the times you do get 4b shoved on). I'm really not sure the best way to play this hand but I am fairly sure that 3b and just calling it off isn't the most optimal way.

against his stacking off range 99 does much better than 56

Of course it is! U are in much better shape against 88, 77, JT and in similar with AT with a nut flush draw. Anyway, it's nothing to do here but an all in.

I really hate these spots typically, but you can't fold. If you had position I'd advocate just flatting the raise and calling down blanks or shoving a safe turn. Here I don't like c/shoving safe turns, so I prob play it the same. Lead/calling safe turns isn't a horrible option

we shouldnt be concentrating too much on absolute hand strength

here is a rough stove

so strictly speaking, getting it in with the effective 3rd nuts on the flop is better than having 2nd nuts

in terms of hand value 77 = 56 imo

getting 56 here in is -EV im pretty sure

its 4 handed, do you expect him to flat the flop for potcontrol with top 2?

do you expect him to raise/fold it?

I think btm 2 is a bit of a stretch, but clearly there need to be at least a few combos of 2prs in there cause no one ever folds.
