Ok Villain is 24/17/3.2 after 541 hands. We tangled at 10-20 earlier, he was playing SUPER maniacal in steal situations. Open from the HJ with 54s I 3b from SB(Playing tight ABC) he caps, flop comes K68r he bets flop and turn checks behind river.

Another hand He opened and I finally said go **** yourself and 3b A5s from the SB he caps.
Flop came 852r so I have 3rd nuts and CR call turn is an Ace so I have what's known as a "board lock." I b/3b/call river's a 5 so lol @ him for having A8 or something. I CR and he tanks... then folds.

Anyways he's sitting at some of my $5 tables now and he was playing normally straightforward and not going berserk until like 15 minutes before this happened. I don't know how to play poker at all so comments on every street would be good. Especially flop/turn(obviously)

If I decided to take my bottom flopped pair to showdown which given the history I probably would, then I would do it without raising the flop and just let him spew. You have position and you need to use it.

Sometimes you take a stand and sometimes you get to showdown. Here, just get to showdown.

I am confused, I was pretty sure they sold Choco Tacos at Taco Bell, but then again, the last time I was sure of that fact was 2+ years ago...maybe it is something to do with the post, but I kinda glossed over it, don't feel like thinking right now.

if you play a nh or anyone else i'd say nh, and if someone posts an ew hand i usually say ew.

in general if you think someone's bluffing then raising him off his bluff isn't wise -- which i'm pretty sure you already know.

just spewing a lot in a hand and then putting 'i'm bad at poker - help me' in the thread somewhere doesn't seem like a very useful combo is all.

I think folding at any point in this hand is bad. btw the other hands don't sound that bad from his perspective, and if I played full ring I'd have stats just like his. Basically don't let a little preflop aggression make you think the guy is a maniac. Anyway I just call the flop, turn, and river here.

DD what sort of hand do you think he had when I had A5? I was basically thinking AT AJ or something close to that. I can't really picture him folding better than that, and even that is a bit of a stretch.

Seem about right? Maybe just whiffed air? He could be multitabling so the pause might actually be nothing.

agree I'm not folding in this hand, but I'll also play it a lot more passively and let him bet hands like AK, AQ, KQs, most of which are drawing slim on the flop. Lose the least to his made hands and let the others bluff into me.
