Live temporarily 6 handed 20-40.

UTG: He has raised about 5 of the first ten hands he has played. Seems to continue his aggressiveness post flop. He hasn't shown a hand down yet due either to him getting the others to fold or folding himself before showdown.

UTG raises, everyone calls, I call in SB with As9s, BB calls.

Flop: Ad8d7d

I check, BB checks, UTG bets, folded to me and I call, BB folds.

Turn: Ad8d7d6d

I check, UTG bets....I don't know much about what this guy is capable of. Is this a check/call down? Call the turn to see if he fires again on the river?

Three bet preflop and bet the flop.

As played check is fine and you should raise flop. He has a ton of single diamonds in his range and your 9 gives you more fighters on the turn.

As played call down. you have outs against sets and many better aces and we can't eliminate AK no diamond from his range given the read and how passively you played it. calling the river will feel bad but you'll get 10:1 at that point and the showdown will have value for future hands.

it's okay to call down and expect to lose

well, if I am that dude, I am never checking the turn. so if I am you, I am never folding. not sure about river bc "Seems to continue his aggressiveness post flop" can mean just about anything to anyone.

I agree with three bet to get it. C / R cap the turn. About that last question if you do call the turn you probably have to c / r the river to get it too.

You don't need to win every pot.

Fold > 3 bet > Call preflop for me as HERO in SB.

On flop as played, would have C/R > Chk/call > fold.

As played, chk calling turn and reevaluating river.

Not sure what I dislike more, folding preflop or c/r/capping the turn
