20- 40 Diamond Lils

Game is somewhat soft and straightforward. My image is most likely loose aggressive.

Regular raises with in early position. I have seen him raise with holdings as loose as a7 in early. Two callers. I 3-bet with JJ in the cutoff. Everyone calls. Flop comes J83 with two spades. Check to me. I bet everyone calls. Turn is 5 of spades. Check to me I bet, early pos raiser raises.

What is my best play here? Check turn and hope the board pairs? I think that play is much too weak but others have told me with that many callers someone must have been on the flush draw. In the actual hand I
Spoiler:
3-bet the turn he capped and I made a crying call on the river when it bricked my full house. He showed a-2 of spades

.

Thanks!

"Everyone calls" -- Does that mean the the pot is 4 haned? If you have 3 opponents the probabilty of either of them having 2 spades is tad below 20% but since suited cards are played much more often than unsuited (usually for exactly that reason), you could double that to about 40. The fact the EP C/R the field is a strong indcation of the flush. That said, you are better off calling the turn and raising the river (that is if you are prepared to fold to 3 bet and depending on whether the river completed any other draws)

I think you have to bet the turn despite the 3 flush showing up; it may be that no one has the flush yet but does have a big spade and will call with the draw. I would just call the check-raise though, not 3 bet. As played the river may be a fold, although I would have called down after calling the turn.

Aggro player could raise w/A8x, but usually not in a 20 game. Call the turn, evaluate on the river if he bets.

You can play this hand in super speed:

call and call if board doesn't pair
call and happy town if board pairs.

I would add that if we don't have J of spades, call turn and fold river if a non-board pairing four-flush appears on board.

I bet the turn here and clear out the trash. 4 handed in my local game I feel confident I will get at least one call/another bet from anyone holding a flush. Straighforward is the game you're in and that's how its playing out. Hang on and check call. How's your karma?

With that flop you're hoping to profit from overpairs, AJ, pocket 8's, and busted flushdraws. Put the money in.
