How come you wouldn't want to 4bet to force the BB out?

One more comment.

Way too many people here, myself included, have a tendency towards dogmatism.

It's pretty clear that it isn't some criminal mistake and horrible leak to 4-bet, and it isn't some criminal mistake and horrible leak to call the three bets.

If one is more correct than the other, it's only slightly so. So argue your respective cases, but stop overstating the extent of the alleged error.

I think it's a quite sizable mistake

i Like he last 2 comments .
I think both are right !
I think it’s a matter of perception .
Profits or mistake of .1% of a BB ( has an example) is not linear for everyone when we put qualitative comments ( great, real bad, etc).
At the highest stakes .1% of a BB is huge while In easier game it ain’t so much .

Better talking with numbers .

For my part , depending how good a player co or bu are, I like calling in sb for playing a bit more hands .

Tho capping is certainly best if they are not better than you postflop when we speak of ´standard’ co or bu 3betting range pf

So the consensus is three bet more profitable than call. Great. Concur. By how much?

It's so much more fun to hector someone else into doing it.

While everyone is sitting with one hand pondering on there chin. I took the time out sitting in my boxer doing some ticking with solver. capping or calling flop is pretty much ev neutral but if you do some looking around there a reason why it better to just call. Pre flop is a clear 4 bet cap but when I say "clear" it make perfect sense for me when I know what the +ev of each hands in the long run and then do some comparing to just flatting and then look at the +ev on each street.

Also this is one of the rare situation where you can build a good assumption with solver. Otherwise had it been 3 way w no capping pre there would be a lot more guesswork by using monkersolver.
