Anyone use the valet at the Commerce? Why does the guy always not want to give me a ticket anymore?

Valet: "you want to keep it close?"
Me: "Sure" ...gives the guy usually 2-3 bucks

15 second pause

Me "Can I have a ticket?"
Valet "No its OK.."
Me interrupts him "No really I might be here awhile, you might not be here when I come out"
Stinky guy valet hands me a ticket like I am an ******* or something

Should I just park myself? I am a skinny white kid though I might get scrrred...

Edit: this is the valet is the back FYI...thoughts on the valet in the front?

i've never used the valet in the back. not for any particular reason, just never occured to me. the valet in the front is fine, never too slow, decent car washes. i never tip on drop off and tip 5 bucks when i pick it up.

Some fun hands from ye olde Bay101:

===========

Hand 1:
Villain had just capped JTs preflop from SB the previous hand, so...

Villain opens on button, I 3-bet QJ from SB, BB folds, villain calls.

Flop K44 (2 players, 7 sb)
I bet, villain raises, I call.

Turn 6 (2 players, 5.5 bb)
I check, villain bets, I c/r, villain calls.

River T (2 players, 9.5 bb)
I bet, villain sighs, flashes AQ and folds. Don't mess with the Zohan!

===========

Hand 2:
I open in EP, tight old guy calls 4 chips, then realizes I raised and calls 8 chips, aggro in SB calls, BB folds.

Flop A74 (3 players, 7 sb)
SB donks, I raise, tight old guy cc's, SB calls.

Turn 7 (3 players, 6.5 bb)
SB donks again, I raise again, tight old guy cc's AGAIN, SB calls.

River T (3 players, 12.5 bb)
I bet, both call. I show AQ, tight old guy rolls AQ, SB shows AQ. Freerooool!

===========

Hand 3:
I open A9 in MP, The Hammer 3-bets OTB, blinds fold, I call.

Flop: 876 (2 players, 7 sb)
I c/r, The Hammer 3-bets, I 4-bet, The Hammer calls.

Turn 4 (2 players, 7.5 bb)
I bet, The Hammer thinks a bit and calls.

River A (2 players 9.5 bb)
I bet, The Hammer says "you're still betting?" and tanks and eventually pays me off with JJ. Wrap draw, flush draw, low draw, overcards... 18 cards twice, scoop it.

Can I whine a bit here? K, tyvm:

Does anybody know the record for losing w/ Kings for a period of time? Not amount of money or number of hands, but over weeks and months?

As long as I'm at it can anybody fold KK to a river c/r from the BB on a board of:

6-6-4-6-2 (3 's) in a 12BB pot?

I made it 2-bets pf 5 ways and bet like a mofo the whole way. Prolly too much content for this thread already. I wouldn't make a strat thread of it, the hand just played itself and would've just come off like a beat story. So, I'm here to whine, pardon me. I'd be crushing the game instead of just grinding out moderate wins if the GD dealers would stop giving me Kings.

Well i guess it is official. I always ask others and wonder how the economy is doing and if it effects poker much. Hard to really tell as a player. Anyway Archie just randomly says, "this is ****ed and its because of the economy." He would know. Damn... on the other side of things the 40 was ridiculously good this late night. And there was only 1 2+2 at any of these games (3-4 tables total).

so i just updated my statking after foreeeeeeeeeeeever of having all these commerce and double tree notepad papers with my results on them. my last result i had put in was january 13 (yes im that lazy). i was utterly astonished to see how much i have won since then according to statking bc i did not discount my 25k and 36k losses for the half of myself that i had sold. also makes me wanna puke a little for how much ive managed to spend in that time considering i really dont own anything of value. in this time the trend of me absolutely obliterating 100/200 mix along with 40 and 60 holdem continues. amazingly im even up in the whole 16 hours of 100 holdem ive played in this time to the tune of an amazing 30 bets. apparently its quite easy to win a combined 2100 bets playing 1/2 mix/40+60 holdem in the 1200 hours ive played of them but apparently even easier to never hold a winning hand at 2/4 and 3/6.

conclusion: poker is exactly as big of a joke as i thought it was before i spent my time updating my results

I'm in a very good 20 game with undertheinfluance and a lot of fishies. Jesse moves to our game because super big fishie just left his game to join ours but she is broke and Jesse gets her seat. 10 min later Captain R joins us and I'm like WTF guys, there are three games going. Other games have fishies but biggest two are in this game.

Do you:

A. Move to another table because there are only 5 people randomly throwing chips into the pot here and there are 8 at the other two tables

B. Stay here because of the big fishies and it fun to play with other 2+2'ers and try to outplay each other and never fold.

C. Move because you are the real reason other 2+2er's came to this game in the first place

D. Go home and watch the baseball playoffs and never come back because C is correct

Villain is in the BB. LAG asain kid who plays his draws fast and waits till the turn or more often the river with hands as big as sets.

I rasie KQs in MP and everyone calls. 6 of us. Flop JT4 with two . My cards are black. Checked to me and I bet, couple calls, villain c/r, I three ball, folded to villain who 4 bets, I call. Turn off suit 6, bet, call. River off suit 2, he bets, and I ....

he looks kind of funny, can't describe it, ....... call

He rolls 53 I was right, but he has all the monies

oh, that look is sheepishness.

3b river yo.

So one bet went in the whole way except the river where he checkraised and you flat with the third nuts and lost? Jesus no wonder I go on 100BB downswings every time I play live.

man i wish i was good enough to have a six there and win the minimum with LeEt SloWPlaYz!!

at least you lost the minimum

Cumulatively I'm losing the maximum, or close to it, lol. Why doesn't the flop come w/ Aces at least some of the time so that I can stop betting and raising?

The thing that 'bothers' me is that I keep losing w/ Kings. People keep flopping huge against my Kings, specifically. Last week DesertCat flopped quads. And it's been going on for months, seemingly. I wish that at least I'd lose w/ Aces or Queens, just for a change of pace. Oh, wait, I lost w/ AA on Cake poker last night! I feel better now.

FYP.

Farewell all.

I was sitting next to the best player at the must move 20 yesterday, down two more racks to extend my streak to seven in total. With one rack left, I pull him aside and ask him if he sees three worse players than me at the table. I barely know the guy, but he's a prop, a good guy, a double bracelet winner, and my read is he will be very honest. He quickly says sure. So I stay and I lose a bit more and decide that being top 7 isn't enough.

I move down to 8-16 and the game is amazing, six to a flop every time, raise or no raise. And I have no doubts I'm either the best player at the table or at worst top three. And so I lose two more racks in two more hours.

I'm going back to small stakes forum and play 8-16 for a while until I can win back ten racks or so. Thanks for having me.

Worst beat of the year for this forum.
10-11-2008 , 03:21 PM
yeah, why cant we send howmany back to 8/16?
10-11-2008 , 04:13 PM
So I'm dreaming about poker last night, and this guy puts this ridiculous beat on me on the river or bluffs me in a spot he couldn't possibly have or something like that...

So I wake up on full-blown crazy monkey tilt and my day hasn't even started yet.

Now that's a bad beat. I think I better make a new rule not to watch, play, or read about poker right before I go to sleep. Poker is -Life EV.
