So some coat like hands that I played somewhere between standard and quite poorly. Some decision points here but I'll just lay out the whole hand.

I know OTR hates fancy titles, and all these games are $20-$40 9 handed.

Villain 1 is a good mixed player and I think he has a bracelet. Plays laggy but very good post. Does some dumb stuff preflop like limp and open too wide early, but he is good.

Villain 2 is super special in super special mode. He has basically stopped folding before the river and likes to fancy play and pump draws. He hasnt lost a pot in a while.

V1 opens UTG 3 calls to me on the button, I 3 bet with black Queens, V2 eats it from the small blind, as does the big blind. V1 caps and we are seven ways to the flop for the max bets and I have queens on the button. Weeee.

Flop is AQJ giving me more additional queens.

V1 bets, folds to me, I raise, V2 3 bets, V1 calls. I call.

Turn is 6

V2 donk checks, V1 bets, I raise, V2 3 bets, V1 folds, I call.

I pay off a river 9

You could also 4 bet the flop. Other than that, I’m not sure how you could play the hand differently. It’s unfortunate the villain made a flush.

I thought the first decision on the turn was the closest.

Is this a bad beat story?

Pretty sure BBV is that way

I mean you played it fine. Especially since you block high flushes (though I'd raise turn without the spade too).

Well played.

Is capping flop just out of the question despite LAGTAG villain 1 and maniac LAG in villain 2?

OT: ninefingershuffle, I think you mentioned you also live in Chicago area. Is this the 20/40 games around Hammonds Horseshoe or I may need to read further in detail in the LC/NC thread.
