This one time I went in there with some money expecting to play a decent sized game. They only spread a tiny game. I think I had scrub pants on and only like an hour before I had to go to the hospital so I decided to sit in the small game and enjoy some wonton soup since it is by far the best item on the menu. I sit down and realize my cash won't stay in the poorly designed scrub pocket and after like the third time it slides onto the floor I had to put it on the table and politely inform the dealer and table of the problem and that the money doesn't play. Then Loni or whatever the **** his name is comes over and starts having a panic attack about this money on the table. Nobody at the table gives a rats ass since they can all see that the 3 racks I have in front of me should be more than enough to play and that it is pretty likely given the circumstances that the stack is only getting bigger. (ok I made that up but we all know it to be a fact )

So anyway, Loni tells me I have to remove the money so I give him the "sure thing pal" and take it off. When he turns his back I smuggle it under the racks and it is now nowhere to be seen but he just can't let it go and uses the eyes in the back of his head and reprimands me again to remove the cash from the table. He wants me to open a player account or something to hold my cash and won't ****ing let up. I just finally give up. Things like that happen so often there when all I really wanted was a goddamn bowl of soup. I am pretty sure that they treat the winning players like crap on purpose.

My apologies if I told that story before. I have been up all night and my memory for worthless crap that I have typed into this thread before gets even worse when I am tired.

Toughest live game is what Mitch means.

Live games vs online games are like male vs female drivers.

ic, so even though the game may be tough at canterbury it is still soft overall because live players pretty much suck.

OK guys I need a new coffee maker for home. I am a huge coffee drinker and my grind and brew machine is wearing out. I am a bit tired of changing the grinds/filter daily and I am wondering if someone has a sweet machine that they could recommend. Links appreciated.

On another note. I just got this camera. It is touch screen and records 30 minutes of HD video. Plugs straight in to imovie on the mac so basically eliminates the need to carry a camcorder completely. Very badass

Re: March Low-Content Thread

15-30 at the Oaks. 6 limpers (!) and I look down in the small blind at two red Kings.

I raise, thus announcing my overpair to the world, all call.

Flop comes: 6, 7, 8 rainbow. Yeeeeesh. Do I bet?

I did. Afterwork Drunk calls, Geezer McProp raises, Chow Fun Eater re-raises.

Do I call, raise, fold? I folded.

Geezer had a set, Chow Fun Eater had a busted draw. The Drunk had two pair.

River a K, I would have won the pot.

Sometimes being a nit is just so nitty.

surf -- my parents gifted me a Keurig and at first I scoffed, but now I can't live without it. Best. Coffeemaker. Ever.

EDIT: To be a bit more specific about what it is, if you're unfamiliar with it -- you don't mess with grounds, filters, pouring, any of that crap. Just put water in the side and you're done. You take their prepared "K-Cups" which are little plastic containers that hold the grounds (there are infinite varieties of these for all flavors/types/strengths) and pop them into the top. Press the 'brew' button and within 30 seconds it drips right into your mug, tasting delicious. Nothing to clean up, just toss the empty K-cup into the trash. It's so fast, so easy, and so much better than every alternative. Sort of like when I got DVR for my TV, I think what was I ever doing without it.

mitch hand 1 isnt even that bad, hand 2 of course is pretty aggressive

so i've logged in about 6 to 8k hands of 25/50 PLO and at one point i was +15k down to -10k, then up to +30k and now back down to -15k.... what should my stop loss be before i finally give up at these stakes? keep in mind, i am sort of teaching myself how to play and haven't even logged in more than 10k hands of PLO higher than 2/4 in my entire life.

considering that the alternative is probably blackjack you should just play until you start winning or go bust

Hand 1 is pretty bad if his plan is to call down after I cap the turn. My limited experience w plo ( highest I have ever played is 10/20) suggests you should expect more of the same until you get real good. I would suggest either learning at smaller stakes or maybe playing 40 8 game on FTP.

i mean if it was live 25/50 plo id just say keep playing theyre all ******ed but online i have no idea if the game are good or terrible. imo move to san diego and play live 25/50 plo.

if it was me i would probably not lose more than 25k which obv is nothing for 5k plo so i probably wouldnt play at all but i guess if i was you id lose like 50k max. 10 buyins still isnt really anything tho.

well the turn put up a diamond draw and some gutshots, so maybe he put you on a big diamond straight draw on the turn and you either have that or a monster. i'm not saying that you'd play a hand like this but maybe he thinks you would. certainly i've convinced myself to make this calldown vs some other players and was pleasantly surprised not to be shown two pair here from time to time.

Re: March Low-Content Thread

Yeah I am probably thinking too hard about how he should be playing against my range in this spot rather than what is terrible against the avg online strategy, but I was pretty close to unknown to him here and the only reason I gave him this much action was, bc I only had 2 games going at this point and he had played like 8/10 hands at the table and spewed every street in all of them.

You don't even have to thank me later.

Get the Flavia Fusion Deluxe. Coffee comes in individual packets and it's better than Star Bucks. There's no waste and the wife can brew her own flavor which takes about 30 seconds.

One cup at a time. Perfect every time. PM for suggestions as to which flavors to order.

I'm as serious as your Grandma's heart attack.

Re: March Low-Content Thread

i think my jaw actually dropped at the conclusion of this hand today.

UTG limps, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls, i raise TcT, everyone else folds and they both call.

flop Jc3c7c

UTG donks, UTG+2 calls, i raise, UTG 3bets, UTG+2 folds, i call

turn 9

UTG bets, i call

river Qc

UTG checks, i bet thinking im making an easy valuebet but apparently i was bluffing, UTG then proceeds to fold Kc4c faceup

lol idk how i garnered that much respect. i sat there dumbfounded as this pot was being pushed my way not being able to believe what actually just happened. what rational person would ever fold that sort of hand here? especially against me.

Where was it and what stakes? Pretty amazing -- I've seen that at, like, the Bike 3/6 games.

It must have taken all the will power in the world not to show your hand.

it was lowstakes (4/8 halfkill at suncoast in vegas) so the potsize was pretty insignificant. i was just really suprised like doesnt everyone at this level begrudgingly call down like whatever its just $8?

yah i didnt show. i didnt want to make the guy feel any worse. let him believe what he wants to believe. i did send a text several hands later just to let someone know though.
