now having all the information, what do you do as the casino employee in charge of these situations when you are asked "can we play 200/400 lhe and 25/50 nl?"

honestly, there used to be a time when i would wonder why i didnt go to oceans 11 more often. now every time i go i wonder why i wasted my time. oh well.
The way decisions are made in that place is so wrong it is amazing that they haven't just run it into the ground. I guess people really like to play poker and are just too stupid to realize sitting and playing 4/8 limit with a 4 dollar drop may not work out so well for them.

This one time I went in there with some money expecting to play a decent sized game. They only spread a tiny game. I think I had scrub pants on and only like an hour before I had to go to the hospital so I decided to sit in the small game and enjoy some wonton soup since it is by far the best item on the menu. I sit down and realize my cash won't stay in the poorly designed scrub pocket and after like the third time it slides onto the floor I had to put it on the table and politely inform the dealer and table of the problem and that the money doesn't play. Then Loni or whatever the **** his name is comes over and starts having a panic attack about this money on the table. Nobody at the table gives a rats ass since they can all see that the 3 racks I have in front of me should be more than enough to play and that it is pretty likely given the circumstances that the stack is only getting bigger. (ok I made that up but we all know it to be a fact )

So anyway, Loni tells me I have to remove the money so I give him the "sure thing pal" and take it off. When he turns his back I smuggle it under the racks and it is now nowhere to be seen but he just can't let it go and uses the eyes in the back of his head and reprimands me again to remove the cash from the table. He wants me to open a player account or something to hold my cash and won't ****ing let up. I just finally give up. Things like that happen so often there when all I really wanted was a goddamn bowl of soup. I am pretty sure that they treat the winning players like crap on purpose.

My apologies if I told that story before. I have been up all night and my memory for worthless crap that I have typed into this thread before gets even worse when I am tired.

This is true and he did text me several times saying a game was going and once or twice I did text him asking what games were going at the Rio. Funny though he would never back my requests to kick the game up to 2/4 when I'd try to rally support for it.

Havent played there in over a year, but I imagine they cant be too bad, bc most of the good players who played when I was there dont play there anymore. Prob a couple still around.

Think in terms of big bets, not big blinds.

I am not even sure the 30 goes anymore. Also, I dont know who still plays. There are definitely some good players still around and its probably still the toughest 30 if not mid-limit game in the country. Not that that means its not soft. I think the 15 goes pretty regularly.

I just showed up at 10:45pm on Sunday night and it was 4-handed, and I joined in and made it 5-handed. People sat out and went to the bathroom, etc., so we were usually 3-5 handed. This guy defended his BB to my CO open and c/c'd flop & turn final board of:

A9763

I had KQ and say there's no way I win this one and he shows T4. Then an orbit later, everyone sits out to take a 5 min. break and he's in BB and I say you want to play HU and so I post my SB twice in a row.

Good times.

You are a nice fellow, you could've flamed me worse for the whining and you didn't but let me assure you: If I posted every 2 and 3 outer since the beginning of the year I'd clog the forum. I started the year w/ a nice pile of purples and am now down a half of them and am even 'afraid' to find a big pair in my hand.

I'm worried that by the time leo doc shows up on the 3rd I'll be playing 4-8 and won't be able to gambooool w/ him even though hes' too nice a guy to mention anything about it.

Plus, I'm depressed.

Thanks for listening.

What are they thinking?

I just had to post this one out of obvious hilarity.

Taj 20/40

Hero raises UTG with KK, all fold to greek Mike who 3bets OTB, both blinds fold, hero 4bets, Mike 5bets. NH

Flop: KJ3

Hero checks, button bets, hero raises, button 3 bets, hero 4 bets, button 5 bets, hero 6 bets, button 7 bets, hero 8 bets, button calls.

Turn: 10

Hero bets, button raises, hero 3 bets, button calls.

River: A

I bet, button calls.

Button shows AA

FML. Any way a CC on the river is in order? I mean really.

Wow this guy really really sucks at hand reading. He puts in all that action (love the flat of the 8 bet to raise the turn line) and then doesn't raise the river? He has the Ace of Diamonds so you can't even have AQ.

Also, did you bet the river for hero while hero was in shock that the river sucked so much?

how can the game be the toughest game in the country and still be soft ?? does this apply to only the 30 or the 15 as well ??

Ever.
+1. With the K on the river, my opponents would have QQ or JJ and do the whole head shake after thinking for a minute before deciding they don't know how to fold to my river check raise.

Ok, I am officially all caught up on this thread from my 4 day weekend in Vegas, so I shouldn't be replying to old posts anymore. As for SSSH, it will take me a week to catch up on those LC threads.
