Central Park Zoo, or The Bronx Zoo if you're serious about zoos.

How long in NY and where are you staying?

That doesn't mean it's going to work. What kind of range do you expect him to b/f the river?

I posted this a level, but don't have enough energy to keep it going. I actually don't even have a bracket.

Some Kings and bluffs. I mean obviously if he (and the other guy) never folds a King then it's a terrible bluff but it sure looks like I know that they have a King and am still raising them both on the river so it's really hard to imagine that I don't have a 9 here.

But obv everyone on the forum here would snap call with bottom pair.

What bluffs does he have in his range? Why would he ever fold a King if your range is at all balanced?

Also, your normal strategy in a 3way raised pot on the flop is to c/c tp?

Stop it w/ the little cards and you won't make the idiot end so much, ldo.

As for me: I'm at the point where I'm afraid to go play. My uncle's visiting so I've had a few days off, went to a spring training game today but he leaves Tuesday and that means I'm going to have to submit to another 7.5 hrs of torture on Wednesday.

He's not the type of player to think like this. He had voiced his respect for my late street raises (albeit results orientedly since he saw my flush) so I decided to try it. It failed miserably.

I probably would check/call most of the 9's in my range in this spot. They would be suited connected 9's for the most part so my plan in peeling preflop is to flop big and top pair is not very big. I would probably call the flop to hit trips/two pair and reevaluate from there.

If the river was not a King I woulda just fired the river as a bluff, but when it comes an offsuit King, I figure he has AK or will represent AK on the river so I try a check/raise.

JFC. You are going to lose a lot of money at poker with this thought process.

JFC? Also, I don't really understand why your reasoning for him never folding AA, etc. is because my range is balanced between 9's and bluffs. But you're saying a bluff is terribad. So then I shouldn't have any bluffs in my range. Which is it?

I try these types of moves generally at most once a session and most sessions go without such longball attempts. I'm pretty happy with my frequency.

Edit: I figured out JFC

Re: March Low-Content Thread

Well the fact that you are c/cing w top pair in a 3way pot is bad, which is the reason I think bluffing is bad. Your story doesnt add up. People arent going to think hard. They are just going to think "Why would he wait until now to cr?" They would be right, because your equity in a 3 way pot with top pair is going to be too large to pass up. Also you can be value cring worse Ks on the river.
Why would he try to rep a K here. Does he have a lot of hands that have no sd value and would need to bluff here?

This is way too much content for a LC thread, I'm sorry I even brought the hand up now. I was just referring to an earlier post about out of temp check-raising the river and how it's never a bluff so is hard to get paid off against good players.

I concede.

sitting down at a table full of unknowns and raising the very first hand youre dealt (KK) while everyone then coldcalls you because they think you are full of **** then proceeding to flop top set is so hugely +EV.

Quiznos can be OK if you know what to order but be careful because you might end up with a soggy mess.

I've been digging Jamba Juice wraps, Corner Bakery, Pret-A-Manger, and Specialty's.

Re: March Low-Content Thread

oh and heres a riddle:

i go to a casino at i am a good customer. the biggest games are 5/5 no limit and 20/40 limit. i have invited another good customer to come and play a bigger game with a 3rd player who is also a good customer. upon arriving at the casino and calling player #3 i discover that he is not going to this casino because the games are too small but he will come back if we can spread a big no limit game. player #2 is already on his way and when he arrives the two of us come to an agreement with player #3 that we will play 25/50 no limit and 200/400 limit mixed game. clearly these games are more than big enough that there is a -49% chance of it hurting one of their existing games. so now there are 2 people at the casino that will only play if a bigger game is spread, and another player that will happily drive over. as a casino employee your goal is to make the customer happy and to make the casino money. spreading this game will make 3 people happy (not spreading it will make 2 ppl unhappy since 1 is already happily at another casino), and it will make them plenty of money for a shorthanded game since they will be charging us at least $12 collection every 30 mins.

now having all the information, what do you do as the casino employee in charge of these situations when you are asked "can we play 200/400 lhe and 25/50 nl?"

honestly, there used to be a time when i would wonder why i didnt go to oceans 11 more often. now every time i go i wonder why i wasted my time. oh well.
