sometimes theres not enough cake to go around.

shes never going to pay your bet because she accidentally paid other peoples bets but you increase the chances of her taking back the other players bets when you do speak up. what are you gonna say? hey they got paid? how come i didnt get paid? thats not fair. floor comes over. well we can make it fair. lets take back their bets too.

Re: March Low-Content Thread

I was at a bj table at Caesers AC where, for 20 minutes me and 2 other players had a dealer who must have been high. She got bj twice and payed US for bj and when she got 20 she paid us. Hard to believe, I know. Me and the other 2 shared a look, kept quiet and watched the floor while he had his back to us. As soon as he turned around we all picked up and ran away.

i got paid on like 23 or 24 the other day in a doubledeck game where the players hand are dealt facedown. if i had a reasonable 22 that could be misread as a 21 i may have tucked my hand but theres no way you cant see i busted so i turn my hand faceup which is the procedure when you bust. but instead of collecting my wager, the dealer pays me. it felt like time paused. i had a $25 wager out there in 5 red. he starts paying me in red but only pays me in 4 red. so he has to take the chips back and im thinking great now hes obviously going to see i busted. but he proceeds to come back with a green chip. pays me. collects the cards and onto the next hand.

Sure thing, I got your number in my phone. We should degen it up at Texas Hold'em Bonus, and keep me away from Bellagio and drunk 30/60.

We are flying in Friday morning at like 9am so we can catch the first games of the day, and leaving Monday evening at like 6pm. I am not a sportsbettor, so I won't be glued to the games like others will.

you gain very little with card sharing. i'd be willing to bet a substantial amount of money that despite cardsharing (say with 4 other people) you're not playing well enough to reduce the actual house edge below 2.037% (which is the house edge if you're playing perfectly without card sharing).

the only real way to get an edge is to have a total fish dealer, but i think that's pretty rare these days

Well, I'll go ahead and share since I'm not exploiting this any more ... if you want total fish dealers, hit up the party pits. The dealers there are often hired for their boobs rather than their dealing skills, so if you're inclined to selectively correct payout errors or holecard, those games are soft as hell. The dealers are so bad, as a matter of fact, that most of the party pits have a slew of horrible blackjack rules just to offset the bleed (nDAS, D10, nRS, lol6:5, etc.).

PHo has a standard 6D Strip game (3:2 DAS DA2 RSall LS 70-75% pen) game in their party pit. Somewhere around 0.5 extra payouts in your favor per hour IME (offsets house edge if you're flat betting). Caesars loads up a ton of bad rules so I've never tried there, and Flamingo just nukes the whole site from orbit with 6:5. There's a few other tarp party pits where there's a dancer, but non-special dealers (e.g., Excalibur).

id imagine holdem bonus is extremely profitable to the casino. i doubt anyone plays near perfect strategy. plus the game appeals to all the people that watch poker on tv who are too intimidated to play real poker.

Play it in the party pits if holecarding is possible.

1-tabling 5/T 6-max during happy hour, it's only like 2 hours/week.

Now the fact that I'm on pace to lose $1k to clear a $100 bonus. Well... that's pretty standard.

You're hardly a proper degen if you don't make the hugely -EV side and prop bets.

I was in Vegas with another 2p2'er that won 50 grand on Let It Ride, cousin of Hold 'Em Bonus, 3 Card Poker, et al. The side benefit is he now gets comps out the wazoo.

Does 6-max clear a bonus at FT faster than FR? I know there's a big difference at Stars, but I thought they were about the same rate at FT.

*edit*
i read the replies. everyone telling you that 1.5+bb/hr is possible is living in a delusional fantasy land. nobody is winning that much in any raked limit holdem game in any casino, and someone with basically 3000 hands of limit poker under their belt cannot possibly win anything even remotely close to that. what you do is up to you but dont make any important life decisions based on the fantastic beliefs about unicorns and the leprechauns magic pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that ppl are talking about.
doing my read 50 posts at a time thing and this is the first thing i super agree with.

I lost $700 clearing mine at 2/4. I think I win?

2+2 user tip!

Look at the bottom right of every post. There are three buttons. The left one says Quote, the second one is an icon with paper and the third one is an icon with a pencil. If you click on the middle one with paper, it turns from green to red. This 'marks' the post as something you want to quote and reply to later on when you get a chance. Keep reading more posts, and click on that button for each one that you want to say something about.

Then when you get to the end of reading, and want to finally post about everything, click on the Post Reply button at the bottom left of the end of the thread. It will take you to your regular posting screen, but now every post that you clicked will be quoted and separated within the body of the message window. And you can reply to each thing there and do it all in one glorious post! Problem solved!

Does this work if you are like me and refuse to move off of 10 posts per page...meaning, can I multi-quote across multiple pages?

Yes, you can do it across as many pages as you want within a thread.

But 10 posts per page is ludicrous. Multi-quoting should be the least of your worries right now.
