Thanks for the multi-quoting tip Joker!
I am pretty much a bluff monkey.

Epic fail of a semi out of tempo river check/raise:

UTG (who verbalized that he "knew what I had when I called on the flop and raised the turn" in a different hand) raises, folds to Button who calls, I call with 75 in the BB.

Flop: 983. Check, bet, call, I call.

Turn: 9. Check, check, check.

River: K. Check, bet, call, I raise (hoping to rep a 9), call, fold. He has AA. He knew he was beat but called cause he had AA. Booo.

remember that site stuff white ppl like. i don't remember if this was one of the entries, but it should have been: making fun of white things that they do themselves. really it should have been #1, white ppl are so eager to make these jokes. in the gym locker room i heard two early twenty-something white kids who'd just finished a game of racket ball make a joke about how "white" it was to play racket ball.

Here's a fairly standard hand east of the Rockies, 15/30 Texas Hold Them, limited style.

Pretty aggro raises UTG, I 3-bet black 77 UTG+1, UTG+2 calls, folds back to UTG who calls.

Flop is 922 no fd. Check, I bet, UTG+2 raises, UTG folds, I call.

Turn is a K. I bet, UTG+2 groans and says, "Ace King?" I shrug. He folds QQ faceup. Tee hee.

I don't understand your plan on the flop. Were you just c/f'ing all non-A/K/7 turns, or were you planning on either calling down or bluffing other cards?

Edit: I suppose this is a fine plan getting 12:1 as long as the bluff works around half the time.

First impressions of the Oaks 15 must move on a Saturday night: dear sweet jesus why can't I win?

Also, yelling crackhead cracking up the security guys in the parking lot: standard.

I thought he had JJ/TT so I thought I had 4 more bluffing cards. That plus he I think he he checks a 9 or just randomly out of fear.

Because they program the Shuffle Master machines to generate action flops, so that casinos earn more rake.

bison: when did you get to the oaks? i left around 530 and they were struggling to keep one table of 15 going most of the time i was there?

For the love of god take a shot at the 30 guys.

Especially if anybody in the game is not white or Chinese/Korean/Vietnamese.

In my last 250 hours of lived LHE, I have been involved in 5 "set-over-set" situations, three of which involved me having the lower set.

A beat? No because the three "under sets" were at 15/30 and two "over sets" at 40/80. Also the hands at 15/30 were played so poorly by my opponents that they were not able to get close to max value

I'm sure this has been posted before but HOWMANY and I were at the Rio last summer, I think HOWMANY was in the game and I was just waiting to see if the game was worth playing or some such. Anyway its a really mediocre 100/200 game with iceman being the only fish. So Sean racks up and we are going to go do something else. So standing in line at the cage and Iceman comes shuffling up very fast, "wait guys, a huge spewy fish just walked in the game is about to get crazy!" He is definitely serious. We turn to look at who just joined the game - its Schneids.

i see iceman all over the place. he was at the horseshoe in northwest indiana and the redrock in las vegas.

I sat at 8:45. I came in and my name was enough to start another 15 game. It was must move, but I was 10th on the list and didn't get switched to the main game in the 4 hours I played.

My only Teddy story is from last year's world series. A buddy and I started playing some hu 50 hoping that a game would form around us. Eventually a few guys sit down. Good game.

So Teddy rolls into the casino and takes a look at the game, he's been playing 1/2 pretty much all the time and I'm getting pretty excited because I haven't had a chance to play with the iceman yet. So he sits down next to my friend (allstarrrt on 2p2). The first thing I do is loan him my hoody so he can avoid getting froze, obviously.

Anyway we've been playing for about 30 minutes and Teddy's been nitting it up pretty good. He may have called preflop with one hand and c/f the flop. So I open from some position with 66 and Teddy calls in one of the blinds. HU. Flop 62K. He checks. I bet. He calls. Turn 6. Check. Bet. Call. River King. He bets 125....

I just kinda give him a weird look and raise to 200. He folds.

About 5 minutes later he realizes we aren't playing nl, gets huffy, and leaves because the game isn't big enough for him.

In case it wasn't obvious, I was tilting before this hand.

Full Tilt Poker $3.00/$6.00 Limit Hold'em

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is SB with 4 3
1 fold, MP raises, 1 fold, BTN calls, Hero calls, 1 fold

Flop: (7 SB) 6 7 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, BTN calls, Hero calls

Turn: (5 BB) 5 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP checks, BTN bets, Hero calls, MP folds

River: (7 BB) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets, BTN raises, Hero 3-bets, BTN caps!, Hero calls

Final Pot: 15 BB
BTN shows K 8
Hero mucks 4 3
BTN wins 14.5 BB
(Rake: $3.00)

You would also never check it on the turn, so that's not really relevant. He checked it on the turn because he didn't want to get raised by a 9. So I decided to face him with that raise he didn't want to face.

Headed to DC and NYC later this week for spring break, the 32 year-old married-with-baby edition. Anyone have any baby-friendly activity or casual restaurant suggestions? I'm probably going to be spending the bulk of my DC time with family, so I kinda know my way around already, but NYC is an unknown quantity.
