You're not going to take away my Viagra now, are you?

Jesse and I will be out there in less than a month and, as you know, our camp is only about a mile from CAZ. I'd suggest you dropping by before going to play where he and I can offer some words of encouragement. Failing that, I make a damn good Bloody Mary that should get your morning sessions off to a fine start. (Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know you don't drink but I'm on vacation so you can make an exception.)

Also- jesse doesn't know this yet- I'm gonna insist on a pretty significant prop bet as to which of us can sweat you better. I'll set the early line at 3:2 with me besting his sweat, so I'll just let him chose the wager amount.

HB needs to realize that run bad is soluable in alcohol. That's two problems solved.

I'm pretty sure we can cure anything from heartbreak to the crack o' dawn.

Btw, doc, you're coming out at just the right time (glad to hear Jesse is coming also). Everybody who has toured the new poker room says that it will be the nicest room in the country. That covers a lot of ground so I'll have to judge for myself. I'm hoping that they run a bunch of promotions for the opening month ala Gila River of which I benefited to the tune of $1,000.

Right now I think the only way I can win is by hitting jackpots and other stuff like that. Moan, moan.

One other thing: You can sweat me if you want to but you're only going to see a trainwreck.

Fun hand from yesterday: I finally get a hand to play! UTG limps, I raise AKo UTG+2 get 200 callers, flop Q-J-10, UTG bets, I raise, everybody else folds, I lose to UTG's J-9o, fml. This has been going on for 3 months.

btw: Does Adderall work that well and does it eff up your head? I see my doc tomorrow and can ask for it it I have a good excuse which reminds me: What symptoms call for Adderall?
Wow, all of this describes my last month perfectly except for the Adderall interest.

The record will show that I came up with that quip immediately.

leo what are the details of the sweat bet? as you know i am borderline busto, and the only thing making me not turn this down is Captain R's victory over Doug L and the dollars you wagered against me then.

its the 10th of the month and i am already up ~15k at 40 and stuck ~20K at 60 (-11k today, and yes its only 3pm, in one of the best tables i have ever sat at). i feel like such an absolute phony of a professional, i am on a ~40k "downswing" my last 8 months or so of 60 (less than 10% of sessions are played here probably). over this period, and throughout my career, i have been a >1BB/hr (slightly so) winner at 40/80 (total sample ~2k hours). i can't explain the difference without chalking up a lot of it to variance. still my bankroll hit six figures in late 08 and i haven't ever been able to grow my bankroll or give myself a raise because of the money blown on 60, the greatly lowered volume that comes in the wake of me getting dreamcrushed in the 60, and my stock market losses. also, but to a much lesser extent, tournaments, random gambling, and failing to budget properly has held me back.

long and the short of it is i feel like i have been stuck in purgatory, way too good to not make a living and go broke, but not able to ever make progress. i don't have to be a breakout hot shot kid playing white chips either. if i could just get back to having a positive winrate in the sixty and work on that i would be satisfied (for the time being at least).

i understand the peter principle but i just down see how my winrate between two half-limits in the same casino could have a gap >1BB/hr or even .5BB/hr.

tempted to become a poorman's victor and leave while i still am within striking distance of my all time high bankroll and before it becomes apparent i am a total phony-loser-degenerate who can no long beat anything sufficiently to earn a living...

i recommend not opening K8s in MP when the button is defending 100% with every intent to screw with you!

Sorry, I thought you'd timed it for the opening but you'll get to see it sooner or later.

if i recall what you are referring to, thats precisely why i did what i did . and it was HJ fwiw so its bad but not ridiculously so in absence of the BU.

interesting that you found out who i am. i guess given that loss yesterday its pretty easy to narrow down or maybe lauren told you...

Pete, how are you in L.A. and I was not informed?!

I found one side benefit to high blood pressure.

When you need to get a blood sample, that stuff shoots out like a ****ing geyser and only takes 2 seconds to collect like half a pint. "Shut it off, shut it off, we're going down!!!"

This is very true. I have borderline high blood pressure, at least for my age (like 135/85), and whenever I give blood it takes like 2 seconds. My girlfriend has absurdly low blood pressure (like literally it was once 90/55 I think) and it takes her several minutes to fill one of those tiny sample tubes.

So I'm just sitting here in a wild game waiting for 'my turn' idly wondering W...T...F...! is wrong w the character on my left when I realized I could pass the time by asking the forum which includes actual doctors.

The patient is ~60, white male, pasty complexion. He never knows when it's his turn, never knows what the bet is, can't read the board or his hand (which have all been wowzers for the past hour). His clothing looks like he rolled in cat hair and his eyes look zombie stupid. I wouldn't bet that he drove himself here. No tremors but plenty of table banging and tongue movement.

I honestly think he's high as a kite, whatever he's on but maybe it's a syndrome.

I can look for other symptoms as directed.
