For stakes 40/80 to 200/400 and 300/600, where are the games better? Commerce or Bay/M8Trix?

So.. is Lil's gone? I haven't played there in awhile, but am curious to know if they're still around / how long they'll still be around for.

Thanks!

Still going. Word is it will be closed in a month or less, but they've been saying that for a while now. Three 20/40 games going last nighy, so all is well for now.

Where aside from commerce/bay can you play these stakes with any kind of regularity?

borg is maybe 1-2wkends/month, parx 75 on tuesdays is occasional.
rip to lhe in vegas outside of a few special funplayers that get 150-4/800 to go sometimes during wsop

md live has 75 fridays and 50 mondays.

am i missing anything?

Guess it's time to finally learn mix games if you're trying to win all the mahneez

That's pretty much it aside from underground games.

Hoping to get an update on regular 20/40+ games that also might be hosting a solid NL tournament series (w/ $1K+ main events) in the vicinity. Any gems outside of Vegas, Bay Area/LA, Parx/Borg/MDL, Blackhawk, CAZ, and Canterbury?

Saw a couple posts in past years about 20/40 in Hammond/East Chicago area, any chance those still go?

Is that still a Thursday only game? Full or half kill?

Never been, just browsing bravo, but apparently not because it's going now (Friday) Half Kill.

Update from Seattle (actually Renton, 20 minutes south of Seattle):

Diamond Lil's has closed and Fortune Poker is now open.

Today there were three 20/40 games on a Tuesday night. Also two 8/16 games and four 4/8 games.

For you high stakes gamblers, the Bike has had a 100/200 LHE lately.

half kill, Wed and Friday game, starts at noon, late night players will often play straight 30/60 or 40/80 with overs and the kill.

Anyone have an idea if Hawaiian gardens 20/40 is juicy or just full of tough props? It's by far the closest casino from me so was wondering how the action is compared to bike and commerce.

Can solid players still make 1bb/hr in it?

I haven't played there a ton, but when I did, the main game was all regular players but the must move game had a lot of props. I didn't think the props were that tough, but the main game was better. Was comparable or possibly better than the games a Bike and Commerce. If it's closer, just try it out first and if you don't like it, go on to another place. I haven't been there since the new building opened so don't know how that may have affected game quality.

This is the sort of thread that
(a) is awesome
(b) has info not really best suited to a message board thread and would be even more awesome as a wiki (probably, or some other sort of organization that lets people prune and organize).

Thinking about how to innovate better message board structures is probably a waste of time because of inertia but in my defense I do study information as an academic.

Anyway, for some real content:
Can confirm that the Fortune (Renton, WA) 20/40 has been just fine, certainly beatable by this non-expert. Looks like 3 tables tonight, Thursday before Christmas. But Fortune seems all giddy that they recently got approval for "no limit" (actually $300 max bet by law for WA non-tribals) so perhaps the sharks will clean out the fish and we can all find other hobbies. Like Omaha.

I'll probably get in trouble with forum powers that be if I post a link but you can track ongoing games live if you try hard enough (no Bravo etc. though).

They are playing 60/120 at MGM National Harbor on the reg. I don't live in D.C. anymore, but can confirm that we used to play 50/100 w/kill and/or 75/150 every Monday and Friday at Maryland Live! Casino. That game was sick, and I miss it. I imagine that the 60/120 at MGM has largely diluted the potential for the game at Live! to run as regularly, but am unsure.

(And for the record: we even played as high as 200/400 when it got short-handed at Live! and the right reg's had won the money that night. That would start Saturday morning and last until...)
