It doesn’t really qualify as mid-stakes, but my buddy been playing in a 10/20 lhe game in one of the decent suburbs near Boston. I think there is gonna be a casino opening in the area sometime this year and they want to ensure lhe and other non-PLO/NLHE games get a little momentum from the 9-5 guys who don’t make the drive to Foxwoods. From what he tells me the dozen or three players are pretty much savants though, so that’s something to keep in mind

Of course 10-20 is mid-stakes; it's a red-chip game.

(The one- and two-chip blind structure encourages nitty play, however.)

Fortunately these savants were not swayed by the 1/2 structure and mostly took a “well, it’s only two chips to call” approach.Towards the last hour, 2 guys were open raising blind and one was defending his bb for one bet blind. Not one chop and I’m not sure if half of them had played lhe before. Last 30 mins was 20/40 and I was randomly seated to the left of the primary straddler/blind raiser

when do the big limit games pick up at the Bellagio during the World Series? Is it during the very first event or a few weeks in? Thanks!

Wsop schedule has all the lhe events at end of series iirc and I would think that’s when there would be the most lhe players in town. But it doesn’t seem to matter all that much, cuz whether I go out in beginning of June or end, there’s usually at least 1-2 80/160+ games running. I’ve seen big games on Bravo at times, but it’s kinda rare and I figure it lasts as long as the action player wants to play

I’m not sure if it’s running regularly anymore, but there was a 200/400 LHE moving around town at the beginning of the year.

Oceans 11 is a great card room with juicy tables but far less trash talk and dealer abuse than what you get in LA rooms.

In LA for two days. I typically head to commerce for mid stakes (20/40 - 40/80) but thinking of checknig out the bike or hawaiian gardens? any advice? Is the rake, game, etc. the same everywhere?

Recently played 20 and 40 at commerce. Both good games, 20 much easier but felt like it ran less. Bike 20 is half kill, didnt feel the field was as bad as comerce, but enjoyed kill and people seemed less scumy? Rake is the same at both places from what i remember, but I only played 20 @ bike

Does anyone know if any mid-stakes LHE runs at Parx anymore? 15-30 or above

Years ago, I recall pretty regular mid-stakes LHE there on weekdays. Has everything moved over to the Borgata now?

15-30 and 40-80 run every Tues night at Parx. 15-30 no longer runs on other nights as far as I know. The 40 may, I'm not positive.

I'm not at borgata any more, but I think they only have 10-20 thurs and Fri, and add 20-40 on Sat and sun. But someone else should confirm.

10-20 usually runs at Borgata on Saturdays as well - have not been there on a Fri/Sat where it wasn't running.

Saw 15-30 run at Parx on a Friday a year or so ago, but since have never seen it on the weekends.

40/80 Parx usually has two table on tuesday. I usually start the must move around 4 pm when I come and last few weeks it been going till next day pm with 3-4 players. Pretty fun atmosphere come join and say hi.

20/40 at Canterbury runs round the clock on the weekends and gets fired up most weekdays around 11 or noonish. Straight 40/80 LHE occasionally runs but it's usually the 40/80 mix (LHE, O8, Stud8, 27TD, Badugi, etc) nowadays.

parx had been having epic 40 games on tuesday into Wednesday. 2 or 3 tables. also playing on fridays.

@borgata 10 goes thursday,friday,Saturday,most sundays. 1 or 2 games. 20 goes friday afternoon until sunday night. 2 or 3 games during peak times. 40 starts about 12 friday and runs late and starts early Saturday. its possible it goes sundays too if people ask/coordinate. 80 would need a touring act, as this point the mix players n hold dont switch pools often... and 40 pool cant handle being split really.

should be noted between parx/borgata have the best rake and borgata gives a lot to their poker players. quick to give half rake. free rooms, tier credit, 2-4an hour in usable comps.

this mix automatic hosebt or is it player dependent? how many handed?

A group of poker players from the Chicago area are trying to start a 20/40 mixed LHE/OE game at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, IL on Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 PM. August 12, maybe the first week post-Covid the game actually goes.

The old horseshoe game died . What a joke that room is now closed on weekend lol. What happen to the aurora 20 game that went on tuesdays ? If Elgin gets it going regularly I’ll play .
