The UTG+1 has been at the table for about 30 minutes. She is 30 ish and has been open limping quite a bit. This is her first open raise. I 3 bet KdQd from the CO and it's folded back to her and she calls. I have been a bit card dead so I have a tight image.
7c3s3c....She checks, I bet. She calls.
7c3s3c8h...She checks. I don't know how stubborn she may get with Ace high. I also don't know if she might go into call down mode with an over pair. If I choose to bet the turn and she calls should there be rivers that I barrel on UIP to try to get her to fold A high?
The "put in one more bet UI" lines are reasonably comparable. Check back now and get perfect info with one bet on the river seems a little better with KQ and bet turn checking back UI seems a little better with AK.
But both of those seem worse than "no more bets." Do you really think a limps a lot player will exploit you for it?
Also, not interested in thinly bluffing an EP range that's probably tighter than it should be for the limping.
I think it’s close. Weak players who suddenly raise usually have biggish hands, pocket pairs or big aces. I would probably check the turn and give up on the river UI. If you bet the turn check the river UI. If she calls the river I doubt she’ll fold AK on the river.
i dont think anyone folds Ax here. in fact i did an experiment where i didnt 2 barrel for 3-4 hours and then 2 barreled, i got called on the turn by Ax anyway. nobody is paying attention.
No way I fold pre. I'd fold KQo pre maybe, but 30 minutes is not the kind of sample that would give me sufficient confidence to fold KQs to one raise.
I typically check the turn and fold the river UI for the reasons Munga stated. (I might call an 8.) If the river is a king or a queen, I'd call a bet or bet/call if checked to.
