Hi all,

50/100 Limit mix and hero is bb with KK and there is a utg raise to $200, a mp 3! and hero cold 4! to $400 and they both call.

Flop; J97r. ($1200). I bet $100…they both call.

Turn ($1500): Q. I check utg bets $200 mp calls I call.

River: 8. ($2100): I check utg checks mp bets $200. I call. I didn’t bet turn because it was getting pretty two pairy and setty.

Thanks,
DT

Full agreement on preflop and flop, standard. The turn is hairy but probably a bet / call. If we're not betting KK here I suppose that means we are checking with all one pair hands? Would we bet AA? We do block the KT nuts and unblock tens which is a positive. We can certainly be called by worse hands, so perhaps we can be a bit more aggressive, but I certainly understand the check. River seems good as well, just check call, pray.

Why not bet the turn and follow it home?

I think it is close but my instinct is to bet the turn. Given how big the pot is, you are going to get called down by too many hands, and when you're behind you're basically never drawing dead here. Plus, people will call with worse here substantially more often than they will bet themselves with worse.

Think that improves betting the turn compared to a 4bet cap.
