I know I don't play well, but the poker gods shouldn't punish me every time I try to play good. I fold Q9o to one river bet in a big pot playing .50/1 6 max, on a Q8JJ6r board, after I raised PF, raise the flop, bet the turn, all because of one overcaller. The caller had 33. The winner had 68o. I suck.

I know all you guys talking about how bad you run are secretly trying to boost the morale of the rest of the readers on the forum that are only running kind of bad.

So from everyone else on this forum, I'd like to give out a great big "thanks man". We love you too.

MSLHE theme for 2009:

"How you running?
Bad.
How bad?
Real bad.
Badder than me?
Probably.
Badder than Mr. T on a bad hair day after trying a new barber in Chinatown?
Definitely.
That's pretty bad."

You dont have to back off slightly or back off at all. Ide like you to keep escalating to the point where you will regret it. You seem like a guy who deserves something like that.

As for the poker related stuff, I knew and admitted I was running way better than I should be. Never said or thought I was a better player than anyone here, however I do know that I am better than all of the fish at commerce. So I do feel like I should be able to beat them.

If your butt whole still hurts from the way pokerbob raped you thats alright. I was laughing at what he said to you and if it is true that you drop that much money at strip clubs because you cant get any real women than I will LOL again. Maybe you should spend less time improving your poker game and improve some of your life game.

In any case, if you make one more comment about me that is not poker related you will not want to see me at the commerce. If you plan on never going to commerce than flame on an have a great time amusing yourself

Wow, openly threatening someone on a public forum just because you disagree with his characterization of you? I am pretty sure you are the one who needs to work on your "life game." Also lol at you being able to do anything physical at a casino. Real bright.

Eh Parker wouldn't be the first dude to take a swing at someone in the Commerce high limit section. Not even the first Armenian. Not even the first Armenian that I've witnessed. This year.

Thug Life.

I didnt threaten anyone, just stated that if he continues he will not be happy to see me.

All that means is that he should stop. Not the type that likes to go back an forth on the internet. If he has a problem with me than let him come see me in person. Its very cowardly to insult people over the internet miles away.

I initially stuck for you, because I agree that Boc was out of line, especially calling you an idiot, but dont insult my intelligence. What could you possibly do to make someone uncomfortable at a casino if it doesnt involve violence? I suppose you could get in his face and yell at him, but that wouldnt last long and you run the risk of getting thrown out, plus who would care about that? Anyway you slice it there is nothing you could do that would affect him in any way that wouldnt involve the police, you getting permabanned from Commerce or getting sued civilly. The question you should ask yourself is not whether he is being a coward by ripping you on the internet, but whether your response is worth the consequences that will surely follow.

Not saying he wouldnt, and he surely wouldnt be the last to regret it. People amaze me at how bad they are at making risk/reward assessments.

You make a living at poker and don't understand the concepts being discussed in these threads?

You just blew my ****ing mind.

What if C-A-T spelled DOG?

A lot of good players don't understand a lot of the concepts discussed in most mslhe threads because most of it is clearly terrible nonsense.

Using outdated and flawed strategies (that people usually implement incorrectly anyway) isn't really all that important to beating poker. Limit Holdem is one of the few limit games that you can play absolutely fundamentally ******ed and still crush.

OK guys, I was hoping everyone would be adults and not escalate things but there's been some passive-aggressive flaming going on and some other unsavory behavior. Drop it or bakku and I will take turns giving some time-outs like we're all in friggin' kindergarten.

In other news, I had a winning session at Commerce today in a miraculous display of variance. It helped that I got AA twice, KK & QQ once each, and JJ five times. I lost with JJ three times but won all the others not to mention a nice pot with TT that rivered a boat on the QJTKJ board. Now I realize that to win at poker you need to be dealt a lot of premium starting hands.

I didn't even play that well today except for making some good reads (which resulted in check-behinds or folds that most people would otherwise walk into with ill-advised bets).
07-19-2009 , 02:28 AM
I managed to make it out to Commerce today for my first post-baby session. Since babies are good luck, I was fortunate enough to receive a table share of a jackpot. Clearly this means that I need to have more kids, immediately.

LOL hand vs spewy Asian Eric:

I raise one limper in MP with AsTs, Eric cold-calls, BB calls, limper calls.

Flop: 9s9h4s

Checked to me, I bet, Eric raises, others fold, I call.

Turn: Ac

I c/c.

River: Blank

I c/c. Eric announces "9?" as if he's asking a question. He turns over T9o. I flash my hand (prob a mistake), Eric goes off about how he expected me to check-raise once the ace hit. Those of you who have played against him in the past may understand why I think this would be a pretty major mistake.

Poker will always be profitable.

Enter the Twilight Zone of my life...

Situation:
Day of the golf and poker tournament thingy at Ocean's (Tuesday?), it's super packed. I get stuck playing 20 while Kim is dicking around playing 4/8. I get pissed and quit, going home mildly drunk meaning like 3 drinks at dinner 3-4 hours earlier and 1 drink in the bar at Ocean's since I'd decided I really wanted to win for once. She calls me an hour later and says she's too drunk to drive home. I go back to Ocean's, park my car, and drive her car back since she needs to work in the morning. Fast forward to tonight when I finally get around to going back to Ocean's to get my car.

Car is not parked where I believe it to be parked. Drive around the parking lot, can't find it. Get security to walk us around the parking lot, we can't find it, they tell me someone probably stole it. This seems unlikely since I was parked right in front and my car's a piece of ****. Get back into the casino and on the radio one of the security guys is like "they found your car in employee parking". I'm like "uh no I don't think so but I'll go look".

So I go to employee parking, where I have never parked before in my life and see my car which is backed into the parking spot, something I do almost never and only do it out of complete necessity (ie drove past a spot and too lazy to back up and pull in forward). My car is unlocked which I've done on accident maybe twice the past few years. Security guards assure me that I must have parked my car here since there would be no reason to tow it from where I thought it was parked to employee parking, plus if that somehow happened there would be a log of it.

So,

1. I misjudged my sobriety and was completely wasted and somehow parked in employee parking, backed my car in (I suck at backing cars up so no idea how I'd do this drunk) and forgot to lock my car.

2. My car got towed there without anyone having a record of it.

3. Gremlins.

???
