I wanna 3 bet this turn so bad! I wanna 3 bet this turn so bad!

20/40 9 handed.

I open AhJc UTG, UTG+1 3 bets, next player calls, everybody else folds and I call.

3d4h6h....It gets checked around.

3d4h6h7h...I bet, UTG+1 raises, next player kind of quickly calls

UTG+1...He can be tricky. I've seen him check back a big pair in spots like this on the flop. He could have AKh, or AQh...His 3 bet range is pretty tight here. I don't think he has a flush because he would bet a flush draw on the flop and probably 3 barrell if missed. He doesn't have a set or a straight because non of those hands are in his preflop range. I've seen him make some big laydowns before.

If this was HU I think a 3 bet by me could get him off a big hand.

Unfortunately there is the third player. He is super loose preflop and does a lot of chasing. He doesn't get to play a lot so he admits he is there to play some hands. He is no idiot though. He is passive but I think he would have bet the flop if he had a good pair but might be mubsy with a bad one. He could have a flush draw.

I feel like the UTG+1 is weighted towards a big pair and I think he would fold it if I 3 bet. My concern is that the third player holds some of my heart outs those times I'm wrong and UTG has the flush. I have the Ah so I don't fear a cap.

Do you think this is too optimistic?

Wow at UTG+2 calling 3 to the face pre-flop then 2 to the face on the turn. What a customer. However, if he's not dumb then he has a solid draw here. QhJh?

Got an idea of what UTG+1's imagine of you is?

Pot is 9.5 BB and you are always at least calling so essentially 10.5 BB so the question is what kind of fold equity that 1 more BB gives you... I don't think this is crazy. It's thin though.

If they both call then do you lead a blank river too?

UTG+2 could easily just have a single heart. I doubt he has QhJh because I think he would bet the flop.

UTG+1 sees me as a TAG. I'm sure he has seen me get out of line before but if he has just an over pair with no heart this would be a tough call especially in a protected pot.

If they both called I would not bet the river UIP.

If just the UTG+2 called, I would check UIP and make a crying call in this big pot. He does like to bluff his missed draws.

I think for one more bet and having the Ah in hand this might actually be the right play. I'm not worried about getting 4 bet. I should have a decent amount of outs when behind.

Spots like this pop up once in a while. I think it is good exploit the mistakes other players make when they take a tricky line.

It's fine to do sometimes. Just bear in mind that AhJ-AhK is 12 combos and it's pretty easy to overdo it here.
