flop 732r sb leads fold to coldcaller who calls im about to raise then i call bc internet kids like me have obvious tells.

turn 7 sb bets fold i raise and he calls

river J completing bdflush he checks i bet?

this hand really confused me for some reason

Easy value bet.

I like flop call. I'd raise if there were anyone with cards and without a bet in the pot.

Any reads on the SB? I'd need to know his/her tendencies for the flop bet, the turn call, and the river check, etc. Can he have 55, can he have A3, can he have a passively played 87, can he have TT, etc. Will he pay off with a 3, will he checkraise on a bluff, etc.

I don't think he shows up with 55 or less and calls a river bet very often here. The flush makes me slightly nervous as well. Just check it.

I think the fact that you raised this particular turn card opposed to something like an eight or whatever might make betting the river slightly thinner than if you'd raised the flop or something else showed up.

I usually think for a second and I'm like **** it and just bet.

I would bet and not be upset when he shows up w/ 88. I would go ahead and raise the flop though.

Totally agree. Also even though Ahigh looks you up I don't see that making up enough of his range after he Cbet 2 streets into multiple players. As a corollary I probably don't raise the turn.

i think villain was a decent asian kid so my assumption was hed 3b TT guaranteed and maybe 99 so basically i was assuming once he doesnt 3bet turn i am looking at like 44/55/88 exactly so betting is good. or maybe A3s/A2s too i dunno

fwiw he snapcalls i say "i have a pair" and turn my hand over and like shrug my shoulders bc he calls so fast im like how can this hand be good but then he looks at my cards and mucks so the hand seems really straightforward but for some reason i was just really confused and i still am and have no idea why

Guys play low cards boards funny through the turn. They asume their opponents can't have anything. From his perspective, you didn't raise the flop, now the top card pairs, he felt his hand was best. Guys call backdraw flush cards on the river quickly because they simply don't believe it, whereas they'll often pause to consider when the 3rd suited card comes on the river when the flop had a flush draw. You played the hand perfectly, IMHO, so it sure doesn't seem like you were all that confused.

well this guy wasnt covered in his own excrement so AK seems fairly unlikely considering what he did at every other point in the hand

Point being it's usually a hand that really really doesn't want to call.

the flop can go either way. river is completely read dependent.
