Same 20/40 game later in the session. I have beaten the living bejesus out of Max in the last 45 minutes, check-raising him on the river when my A 3 turned into a wheel (but missed it's nut flush draw) and extracting 6 big bets with KK on a board of K74-7-X where Max check/raised the turn because of course he had a 7. Max is aggro, and as I stated his 2-betting range preflop includes A2o from any position. He tends to play close to the vest against me because he knows I'm not a dim-wit, but this could be affected by my recent 11 big bet withdrawl from his stack.

One player in either the HJ or lowjack power limps. Max raises OTB. I 3-bang A T from the SB (added after Wacky's response for clarity). For once in my life it works, and the BB and the power-limper both fold. Max calls.

Heads up for 8 small bets

Q 4 3

I bet. Max thinks long and hard. It looks like he's considering folding, and I don't think it's an act. He then calls.

Heads up for 5 big bets

Q 4 3 Q

A voice in my head actually says to me "he'll bluff raise this card cause he hates me". Of course, I actually only have ace-high, and he can probably still have AK and AJ here, as well as A3 and A4.

What do I do?

b/c, fold the river ui if he bets, but of course bet if he checks to you. You don't really think he has a queen here do you?

No, I think a queen is almost out of the question.

I can't very well bet if he checks to me on the river, though, what with him having the button and all.

Sorry misread. Thought you had the button. I still b/c the turn and fold ui if he raises the turn on the river. If he just calls, bet the river. Let him make a mistake by folding.

Bet/call down given your read. What else do you want to do?

c/c turn
c/c or c/r river (the latter may be worth it for future confrontations with maxxy)

It's a little rare for me to put in 3 big bets with Ace high is all. I realize that you, as an Animal, think nothing of such things

Will he fire twice with air?
If he would wouldn't it be nice to give him the opp to bluff?

Any line not involving a turn bet is ******ed given your read of almost folding flop.

If you really think a turn bluff raise is likely, than call down his raise and river bet.

I wanted to check call, but he was so close to folding the flop that I just felt that I HAD to bet.....but I didn't really want to put in 3 big bets to see his like pocket 2s or whatever. As usual, spot on mr tiger.

Given your read, I would b/c the turn and c/c the river if UI. Minimally c/c, c/c.

bet/fist pump call. maybe shake your head and do some weakness stuff to encourage him to bluff the river too. shouldnt be hard to do since you're weak here anyway

Yes, but don't pump your fist. It is inconsistent with looking weak.

I think this is a "feel" hand. If you feel he'll bluff raise the scare card, then bet/call down. Make sure not to do anything that might make him give up on a bluff though. Against unknowns, I usually bet/fold here. But if you think he'll act in some strange way(bluff-raising as you said), then take the line you think is best.
