I think this situation is common enough to warrant discussion.

Tagfish UTG opens. Folds around to hero with 57dd. Hero defends.

The board comes 4, 6, 10 all diamonds. Hero check raises and villain calls.

Turn is a Jack of diamonds putting four to a flush on the board. Hero continues and villain calls.

River is a non diamond. Check/call? Bet/call? Bet/fold?

Villain should raise the turn 80%+ with Ace or King of diamonds.

I'd check/call the turn.

My standard line here is to check/call turn, fire all rivers if I get checked back to on turn.

I don’t hate a bet on the turn against some opponents, but it’s a miserable spot to get raised.

I vary my line against certain regulars at higher stakes who are capable of meta-levels and tricky ****. In those spots, outcomes are mostly just part of regular variance, and this kind of board is actually a spot where you tend to see more bets go in at higher stakes because people really try to push you off your hands.

I'm leading the flop.

I'm checking the turn.
