Flop fold standard? Flop fold standard?

Five handed 20/40. Winning regular opens at button. Loose regular at sb calls. TAG calls at BB.

Flop is 762

Button cbets, SB check raises and TAG 3bets. Button calls quickly and SB calls.

Turn is 7

BB bets. Button shows AK and folds.

It is little surprising to see Button calling flop 3bet. Or is there any good reason for that?

What happened to sb after flop? Did button show his cards with a 3rd player to act? Bogus.

Maybe, if he had a BDFD and SB was telegraghing a call thus improving his drawing odds. Perhaps the dynamics of the game made him feel more confident in his hand. maybe he calls his whole continuing range here. His call has to look strong to the BB. He may have expected a turn check had the 7 not hit.

There aren't many potential draws on the actual board so He probably needed to improve. He wasn't closing the action and certainly couldn't have thought he had all of his outs. This is especially true if BB flats everything pre.

I think it should have been a fold but maybe he knew something we don't.

Getting 6 to 1 on the flop Button was correct to call. The turn is fine also, Button is not closing the action, SB is x/ring the turn a fair amount of the time and he could easily be drawing dead.

This seems pretty standard for the games I'm accustomed to. It's hard to be drawing dead on this flop.

Yes. Some don't care.

Not in this case.

Do you think 6 to 1 is enough for Button to call flop cap? Button calls BB turn bet too?

If sb 4 bets, he's getting less than 4.5:1 depending on whether this room is a 4 or 5 bet cap and a raked game.

But the flop wasn't capped it was 3 bet, and Button only has to call 2 SB to see a turn. The expressed odds of spiking an ace or a king OTT are roughly 7 to 1 but b/c of implied odds, Button can expect to earn 2-3 BB on later streets. Not sure how the flop can be capped here unless Button is the one putting in the fourth bet, which is a really spewy tagfish play. As played the turn is a muck, we aren't closing the action and getting x/raised by SB is a disaster.
