Bad flop for 88's. Bad flop for 88's.

The CO is the half kill. He is very loose pre and can lag it up. He's a bit sticky post flop unless he completely missed the flop. He does peel very lightly on the flop.

The button is a Tag/fish reg.

I open 8s8h in the LJ and only the CO and button call.

Js3c9h...I bet and both call. Should I be checking this?

Js3c9hAc....I bet

I'm thinking that checking the flop is the better play. I can see how the action goes and if it's just one bet back to me I can call. I could easily fold this turn but what if it is a blank and it gets bet again?

yeah i just c/f the flop vs two players

turn i definitely c/f people just love to cold call Jx and Ax vs opens. if you're betting its to get 9x to fold and get HU vs a straight draw which you then have to hope misses. seems too optimistic to me vs people who cold call preflop raises.

alternative question is what if you had KK or QQ. i probably check that turn too.

Flop bet is fine (I don't know that I'd check anything here and the hand plays OK if you get it HU) but you need to c/f this turn once you get called in two spots.
