I guess it depends on how strictly you define middle of the country. I'm temporarily (for another year) in Kentucky, a little over 600 miles from MSP. Nearby markets like Cincinnati, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cherokee (NC), even for the most part Chicago, have your usual 1-2/1-3 and 2-5 NL games, an increasing number of PLO games, and occasionally a 4/8 LHE or mid-stakes limit Omaha 8 game or what-not.
Not that any of this is news to anyone here, I imagine....
I did forget about Philadelphia which is like 500 miles away, and of course AC not far beyond it. So yeah, I'm not precisely in the middle of the country.
I enjoy limit poker more but at this point, I figure getting better at NLHE will help me build up resources to travel to the games I like.
